The lobster bisque came full of lobster but it was lukewarm. The Steak Frites with shrimp addition was very good. The bavette was tender and juicy and cooked to my request. The fries were crisp but I had to ask for salt. I ordered a non-alcoholic mojito with mango, not on the menu, but a suggestion from the server when I asked if they made mocktails. It was on the astringent side and I didn't finish it. There was a very long wait between 1st course and main course but I was told it was because there were large parties upstairs (it was Thanksgiving). All in all it was a good experience but it will be a while before I go back.
We were in Montreal for a weekend and we had dinner at View Port Steakhouse. Food amazing . Will definitely visit again if we are in Montreal.

Found this in an instant while on vacation with family in Montreal. I made a reservation and was there in ten minutes. Promptly seated and order quickly taken. Service was great, food was outstanding. I got the flank steak and fries, was just perfect. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend this place, I know we will be back.

Not really value for money! My medium rare Faux-filet steak was heavily overcooked and had to be replaced (which was offered without any discussion) and when I got my second steak it was still somewhat overcooked but then I decided to rest my case. Furthermore, the bottle of red wine ordered had not been served when our mains arrived not value and it turned out that the wine that we had ordered was no longer available in the cellar and we had to chose another, which per se was not an issue, but it made a mess of the timing of the whole dinner. We were offered free desserts which was a highly appreciated gesture, but did not really serve as "compensation" as we were rather full at that point of time.
Nous avons célébré l'accomplissement du marathon de Montréal avec un grand appétit et le Vieux Port Montreal Steakhouse a livré ! Les saveurs, les portions et le service étaient excellents.
J'ai adoré l'ambiance las bas ,le repas etait excellente,les boissons aussi surtout celui non alcoolisé alors je recommanderais vivement.j'ai passé une excellente soupe las bas. Idéale pour les soi d'anniversaires et sorties entre amies ou famille.

The food was amazing! We got the crab cake, Ceasar salad, a steak and the salmon. All delicious. We just had an off waiter and even still he was very nice. First brought me the wrong wine. Then when we asked for the dessert menu later he brought us steak knives, left for a long time without giving us menus. Then when he finally came back, he asked what we were thinking. We said we would just take the check since we had other plans to get to and just sat there for ten minutes waiting. Then we waited another ten minutes for the check, then his credit card machine was broken so had to wait for him to find someone to help him get that. Everything was great until the end.
We had a wonderful time dining at the Vieux-Port steakhouse. We arrived in the morning, unsure if they could accommodate a large group of sixteen. To our delight, James graciously took our reservation and ensured we were well taken care of. I must say, he is a truly lovely host and well spoken, great asset to the restaurant. He even managed to reserve a table for us on the terrace on what seemed to be a very busy night. Our waiter, Joe, was also exceptionally kind, serving us with care and adding great energy to our evening. The food was incredibly delicious and well worth the price. I highly recommend this place.

WOW! The NY striploin and ribeye were both cooked to perfection, and the beef tartare was exceptional. The real star of the evening was our server, Lydia. She was kind, informative, and made our anniversary dinner extra special. Would recommend to anyone visiting. Thank you Lydia for making our night special!
