4 of us had a great meal. I had the farci mussels to start and the party had the boullabaise and I had the cod. Totally delicious. They have a deep wine menu, which we partook in. Great service, great food, great location. Do not pass this eatery by.

We went here for dinner back in April and the food was warm, cozy and delicious. The staff treated you like royalty and were so incredibly kind.

This is a restaurant that presents itself as a higher end eatery.

Nothing much on the main menu appealed, so I had the Classic Levesques Salad. It was just OK - some sort of leafy greens, as I recall, with graded cheese and shredded ham on top. I also had a decaf élonger, which was also just OK. I had higher expectations.

My lunch companions were much happier with their meals. My wife raved over her blood sausage. They ordered from the Prix Fix and had entrées.

It was crowded and noisy until the crowd thinned out

Then there was a problem with the credit card device (mostly my bad), and when I arrived home, I realized I had been charged twice. They were most apologetic, and once I gave them my credit card number, it was fixed immediately.

Bottom line, I need to go back, give them a second chance, and try a main course.

This is a family favorite and a staple of Montreal city, this place has been open for 50 years, that is not easy to pull in a city like Montreal, goes to show you it's definitely a restaurant you're gonna want to visit, more than once even.

Cute French bistro in Outremont on rue Laurier. Has both indoor and outdoor dining.

Food is great and there’s also a kids option for those under 14. Salmon served in a lemon sauce was phenomenal, loved the gazpacho, which was fresh, a dash of heat from the fresh pepper that was offered at the table. Perfect for a warm summer evening. Service is impeccable, friendly, attentive, and patient.

We dined outside, the traffic is minimal on a Thursday night with a pleasant breeze which made dining al fresco a delight. Atmosphere was more intimate and quieter than Leméac across the street that was much more lively.

This place did seem like it used to be good based on prior reviews! Now though, it would make Gordon Ramsay resurrect Kitchen Nightmares for its swan song. Terrible place riding it's past glory - run and save your money 👍

My partner and I have been loyal customers there for almost 30 years. We ate there almost every Friday, celebrating birthdays and holidays with friends or family members. But, as my partner can no longer travel, I thought that if she can no longer go to Chez Lévêque, the restaurant will come to her! And it happened. We chose the Holiday Menu: Lobster bisque and Germiny soup, Chablis-style snail puff pastry, old-style veal blanquette, verrine of amaretto tiramisu and lemon tart.
The bisque and soup were delicious, creamy as can be, but the taste of lobster and greens were somewhat camouflaged by the abundance of crème fraîche. The snail puff pastry was presented in a different way: a snail sauce (lots of snails!) accompanied by a triangle-shaped puff pastry. Very good too. The slightly fibrous (!) cubed veal blanquette served with rice was nevertheless tasty. As for desserts, the tiramisu was different from the original offered in Italy because this verrine contained amaretto with maple sugar snow and pistachio. Very pleasant for the palate and taste buds. Finally, the lemon tart, well I would call it classic, but so sweet!
All in all, my partner and I really enjoyed this typically French Christmas meal. Despite everything, we would have preferred a little more refined cuisine. Should I add that I still recommend visiting this restaurant...

Mussels were raw, sauce was like a watery soup, chef was sleeping upstairs in a couch, horrible experience, HOWEVER, they gave me 40% on my meal
