Waitresses wearing plastic face shields as Hassidic men walked by in giant black fur hats created a vibe somewhere between science fiction and shtetl. But it was the creative, lovingly prepared food that I won’t soon forget: charred radishes, rotisserie chicken slow-cooked on a vintage rotisserie oven and grilled octopus with patatas bravas that momentarily transported me to the Spanish coast. All presided over by Lindsay Brennan, one of the best natural wine sommeliers in town.”

“I’ve ordered from Folfol five times now, starting back during the pandemic, and they’ve been consistently amazing every single time. The food is seriously so good — packed with flavor, super satisfying, and always leaves me wanting to come back for more. At this point, Folfol has actually become part of my birthday tradition — I do takeout from them every year, which probably tells you everything you need to know. I’ve tried pretty much the whole menu, and honestly, it’s all been excellent. It’s not easy to find a place that stays this consistently good across so many dishes, but Folfol really delivers. Highly recommend. One of my favorite takeout spots, for sure.”

The restaurant itself is cozy, which provides for a very pleasant, intimate atmosphere. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. There is also a terrace that opens onto a pedestrian-only street in the summer months. While I sat inside, the terrace would be a great option for many.

I tried the fish, french fries, beer, coffee, and dessert (I was hungry). It was all very well prepared. I'd definitely recommend everything I tried.

The staff was excellent. I was served by Isabela. She provided quick and professional service, and was a pleasure to talk to. She contributed very positively to the experience.”

“Not helpful. Went in person three days prior to place an order for Mother’s Day. I was told that I could not order in advance, and that they stopped taking advance orders. Meanwhile the site states that I can. The person in charge told me that the site was removed. Meanwhile, the site is still there and customers were picking up their orders on Sunday morning.”

“For the staff that worked Wed. 06/10 around 3:30pm. I didn’t catch her name but the middle aged woman: you are an angel. You saw me outside with my stroller and I had that look of hunger and help and you knew. It meant a lot that I was approached by you from across the patio and offered food and a cold drink. I was so busy that day I didn’t have a chance to eat much and not only did that sandwich taste delicious, it helped me get through the day. I just want to say thank you genuinely and your coworkers.
