“Enjoy Dixie lee every time I head to the coast , great food !! Staff could be a little friendlier , but my issue really isn’t with the food at all .Last week I was at the restaurant, ordered ,sat down with three children to eat a meal , and the kitchen went up in flames , it happens when dealing with hot oils stoves , it happens , which isn’t my issue at all , my issue is how clueless the staff was with dealing with the issue at hand , literally 3 ladies in the kitchen with no idea what to do , not one came out of the kitchen to say please evacuate , nothing , my partner headed to the kitchen to try and help , and when the flames started to spread, she told us and another couple to go outside , finally after a few minutes , I guess something clicked and someone finally pulled the safety fire extinguisher , but this should not have taken 3 minutes , should been done with 30 seconds when the idea of the box of baking soda didn’t work , also noticed that the lever is out of reach , the ladies have to get on a step stoolTo reach it , in a kitchen that mostly deals with hot cooking oil , just think a quick review of safety procedures and maybe some safety tranning , and maybe a hand held accessible fire extinguisher would go a long way . And wouldn’t have hurt to offer the clients that were present a free meal for the experience . But their fried chicken is probably the best In North America . So just a touch up on safety , and a smile this place is 10/10“
