La Diperie Pointe Claire

We had terrible experience here. Brought my nieces and they both picked items that were unfortunately not available (no signs anywhere that they don’t have them), so it took a few minutes for my nieces at the counter to pick something else. There was only one lady taking the orders, making the order and manning the counter. There was already a lineup and we waited for our turn but then she started being rude because the kids can’t decide in an instant what to pick when their first choice weren’t available. Had they put a sign which ones are not available, the kids would’ve picked something else while waiting for their turn. They ended up not liking their icecream because they were both pressured to pick whatever “quickly”.

La Diperie in Pointe-Claire is the favourite ice cream spot for my wife and I. We love the choices of dips and coatings and the ice cream is of an excellent quality. BUT I did not give full stars for service because for some reason the opening hours are often not respected. On multiple occasions when the shop is posted as being open we are majorly disappointed when we arrive and the doors are locked. The latest time was this past Saturday in mid afternoon, probably the last beautiful summery weather day on a weekend for 2024...and it was closed up tight! So we went down the street and made do with another ice cream shop. The word of advice if you don't want to be disappointed is to call ahead, don't believe what you see posted on Google for the 'open' status, it's often not correct.
UPDATE: The response from the La Diperie Team was also disappointing, they completely ignored the complaint about not respecting their opening hours. Am I to presume no effort will be made to correct this pattern?

I asked for a medium corn in a cup and I get a small one when I asked the guy he said sorry I’ll add some more for you so he made a new one then I think the manager or a lady who was there take it away from him start shouting at him and put it in the fridge and just made him give me that small oneI didn’t say nothing but I’ll never come back

The ice cream is delicious and I was served by Anna, the sweetest and most patient worker I have ever been served by!! Definitely my go-to ice cream place :))
