Pickrell's Ice Cream

I've requested the services twice from Pickrell's ice cream and both times the events were a great hit.
We appreciate the flexibility and just how welcoming the team was to our staff here.
I highly recommend them.

I've hired this ice cream truck for the last 3 summers in a row for my work summer events where they serve over 300 cones each time. Always a success. Peter and his team are always so kind and always make these events a success. To many more!

Thank you sooo much Pete for the awesome service you gave us! We wanted to have something different than a cake cutting for our wedding and man did you deliver! Our guest loved the ice cream truck instead of a cake and everyone raved on how good it was and how nice you were! The service was impeccable, thank you again! Pickrell's is the best cream truck in Montreal! They are friendly and professional. I would have them at all my events if I could. Highly recommend!

Had a really crappy experience with these guys today. I clearly placed my order by saying “I’ll take the vegan option”- I didn't know what that flavour was because the sandwich board outside the truck indicated the vegan option as 'flavour of the day'. I was first met with a very boring joke about it being made of ground beef (do you also make jokes when someone doesn’t eat pork, as per their religious beliefs?) and then a dairy ice cream was accidentally (I hope) served to me instead. I went ahead and ate it without noticing that what I was eating was in fact dairy (yes, plant-base options nowadays taste the same) and it was only until 10 minutes later, when I felt the immediate symptoms of my lactose intolerance kick in, that this possible reality kicked in. I quickly made my way back to the ice cream truck to inquire if what I had eaten was in fact that which I am allergic to. Not only was my inquiry met with more jokes but also a very unconvincing attempt to seem shocked on their behalf. I felt the need to share the fact that I was about to have diarrhea for the next two days because I felt completely disregarded and even then, there were zero attempts on their behalf to empathize with me and how their mistake has led to a very difficult situation for another person. I don’t mind mistakes in life- we all do them! however, I was served by the owner himself (how do you mistake a vegan flavour with an other regular flavours from your 40 year old establishment?!) and I felt like I was not taken seriously once, starting from when I was ordering and then coming to clarify something for the sake of my health. Do not recommend for anyone with dietary restrictions, allergies or that likes to be treated with dignity.

wow! I highly recommend ! The ice cream is good, the price is excellent and the gentleman is so nice. I never write a review usually, but this time it was worth saying. Nice discovery ++
