I recently visited Sahib Restaurant in Quebec. Based on all the positive reviews, I was expecting a great experience. While the food was overall ok, I found the prices quite high for the quantity served. For example, the tandoori platter costs $20 but only includes one piece each of chicken, lamb, fish, and shrimp definitely not worth the price in my opinion.I also ordered a drink, which unfortunately was a disappointment. On the positive side, the restaurant was very clean, and the service was excellent. However, unless they improve the portion sizes, I feel the pricing is too steep for what you get.

I recently dined at Sahib Restaurant in Pointe-Claire and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
We ordered kulcha, butter naan, Chettinad chicken, and kebabs. While we had high expectations based on the restaurant's reputation, the experience fell far short in several areas:
The portions were surprisingly small, especially considering the price point.
The Chettinad chicken lacked any distinct flavor, and the preparation felt rushed and uninspired.
The kebabs were dry and under-seasoned, offering little in terms of texture or taste.
The bread was not fresh and had a tough, chewy texture.
The most concerning issue, however, was the presence of a fly in the food basket, as shown in the attached photo. This raised serious concerns about hygiene and food safety.
Given the combination of poor food quality, low quantity, and a serious hygiene issue, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to improve both their kitchen standards and customer service.

I visited for the first and last time in this restaurant. My friend recommended this restaurant.Really disappointed by the food.No value for money for buffet. We left hungry and disappointed, and $68 poorer. With so many excellent, affordable Indian restaurants around, I can’t recommend sahib dinner buffet. Save your appetite—and your money—for a place that delivers real flavor and better service

I recently visited Sahib Restaurant at Point Claire for their buffet, hoping to enjoy a satisfying meal with a variety of authentic Indian flavors. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet expectations, especially considering the $30 plus taxes per person price tag.
1. Price vs. Value:
The buffet was highly overpriced for the quality and variety offered. At $30 + tax per person, I expected a more flavorful and fresh spread, but it felt more like a rushed, mass-produced meal rather than something carefully prepared. This is especially disappointing for those of us with a true appreciation for Indian cuisine.
2. Food Quality:
The most noticeable issue was the food temperature. Much of the food was served cold or lukewarm, which greatly impacted the overall enjoyment. Indian cuisine, with its rich spices and flavors, truly shines when it’s served at the right temperature, and sadly, that wasn’t the case here.
3. Authenticity:
For anyone who is familiar with the true flavors of Indian cuisine, this buffet falls short. The dishes lacked the depth of flavor and seasoning that are signature to Indian food. Even the more familiar option like butter chicken didn’t have the richness or warmth I would have expected.
4. Service:
The service was decent, but it didn’t make up for the other shortcomings. The staff was friendly, but the food quality and pricing left a lot to be desired.
5. Overall:
I left feeling that I didn’t get my money’s worth. As someone who enjoys Indian cuisine, I was hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, this didn’t meet my expectations. I would recommend trying other options in the area if you're looking for authentic Indian flavors at a more reasonable price.

The chicken tikka masala is one of the best I have had in Montreal. The Salmon tikka was very tender and flavorful. Great service, had a great Sunday evening.

Back for the third time and it didn’t disappoint. Lunch buffet is a good value for the buck, with multiple options and great choice of curries. The mango lassi is outstanding!
