Not worth the stop in my opinion. Too sugary, waffles not made in house.

Delicious pistachio gelato with chunks of real pistachio along with a mixed fruit gelato. Gelato was smooth and creamy with excellent flavor, this place is definitely worth a stop!

Chocolato – Petit Champlain, Québec City ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Chocolato in Petit Champlain is a total gem for anyone with a sweet tooth! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the whole place smells like chocolate the moment you walk in. Their ice cream and desserts are next-level—rich, creamy, and beautifully presented. I loved being able to choose from so many different dips and toppings, it makes the whole experience fun and customizable. Everything tasted super fresh, not overly sweet, and you can really tell the quality of the chocolate they use. The staff were friendly and patient, even with the line-up of people excited to order. It’s also in such a perfect location—right in the heart of Petit Champlain, so you can enjoy your treat while strolling around one of the prettiest areas in Québec City. If you’re visiting, this is a must-stop spot for dessert. I’d come back in a heartbeat! 🍫🍦

Came all the way down to Vieux Québec for Chocolato as the closing time on Google said 9 pm, only to find out when we arrived at 8:20 that it’s closed. Very disappointing. Learn to change your business times, or you’ll close like the other location on St-Jean for being inconsistent.

For all people with a sweet tooth, this is the place you want to go. Some of the better, and more decadent desserts in the area.

It was so big/rich even our kids couldn't finish it all. This was the best dessert we had during our stay

I paid over $6 ... literally just one lick

This location is in the midst of tourist overload so it's busy, crowded and a bit pricey. All that said, you also get awesome ice cream - we loved the drinkable desserts. So if you are in a patient mood, or you spot a slow moment, Chocolato is a great stop!

While exploring Quebec City, I spotted a group of cheerful young people savoring ice cream, their eyes sparkling with confidence. Curious, I asked where they got it, and they pointed me to a nearby shop. We stepped inside and ordered a variety of fruit-flavored ice creams. Strolling through the city, we relished the delightful flavors—truly exceptional! This shop stands out as the best ice cream spot I’ve found in both Quebec City and Montreal. I wish them continued success and hope they remain the top choice. I highly recommend all ice cream enthusiasts visit this gem!

The Skor caramel was absolutely delicious — rich, crunchy, and full of flavor! The portion size was generous, making it perfect for sharing or satisfying a serious sweet tooth. Definitely worth trying!

The chocolate soft serve has a strong honey flavor but barely any cocoa. The milk chocolate hazelnut dip is soft and chewy instead of crisp—overall, the texture is underwhelming.

A busier shop, due to its location, which can have some wait on afternoons and weekends, but it is well worth the wait. Their selections of dips are so good! We tried the dark chocolate and the salted caramel! So good!
