“Here I am, a hungry English-Canadian, in the most random part of town while visiting Quebec City. I drove by this place and noticed it had a full parking lot and a lot of people around. I thought to myself this is a good sign.
As soon as I walked in, the place was busy and it was clear it was popular with locals.
To start, I ordered the pea soup and it was delicious. It had little bits of pork in it and was rich but still very flavorful. The pizza seemed to be popular so i got a mini one with a cesar salad. It was very good. The dough itself tasted fresh and was fluffy, but it still held the toppings really well and was perfectly baked. I was told the locals put butter on the pizza crust so I gave it a try and it was surpringly good. The salad was nice too, crisp leaves, perfect amount of dressing and REAL bacon!
My waiter was very polite and welcoming. I don’t speak French very well and there was a bit of a language barrier, but I still felt very well taken care of. The whole experience felt genuine and I’m really glad I stopped in.”

The presentation was so pretty, it was nearly sad that we had to eat it. The sadness was instantly gone, though, when we actually tried the sushi. Although we ordered two of the same platters, the sushi we got were actually slightly different in appearance (flavours were similar), so of course we all had to try at least one of each, and they did not disappoint!
We also got the tapioca with fruit, which was really good too. We didn’t end up ordering any drinks, but we will next time!
Although we didn’t know any french, we successfully ordered really great food, thanks to the friendly staff. He tried really hard to help us, and we’re thankful for his effort.
Interior design/atmosphere-wise, it’s so aesthetic! Everything still smells like fresh-cut wood, and the colours are really clean and soothing to look at. The photos do not do the place justice!!”

La pizza au thon était tout simplement délicieuse, et la baguette farcie aussi savoureuse. C’est un endroit propre, accueillant et familial où l’on se sent vraiment bien. Je recommande vivement !”

“Une histoire de famille et des souvenirs! Depuis l’ouverture de ce buffet en 1991, mes parents et moi y allions plusieurs fois par année pour un bon repas en famille. C’était devenu notre sortie père-fille au fil du temps. Nous avons finit par déménager à Montréal en fin des années 90. Après le déménagement je n’ai pas eu la chance d’y retourner. Et me voilà plus de 30 ans plus tard (35!) et cette fois avec mes enfants j’y suis retourné. Ce fut toute une nostalgie de voir mon bébé s’asseoir dans cette chaise haute qui autrefois m’avait servi! Mon père nous a quitté donc je n’ai pas pu y être avec lui mais ce retour vers le passé m’a fait un grand bien! La nourriture reste aussi chaleureuse que dans mes souvenirs. Ce n’est pas la haute gastronomie mais on s’entend qu’on ne va pas là pour cela! Il existe d’autres restaurants si c’est cela que vous recherchez. C’est simplement un buffet pour vivre des moments en famille ou en couple « comfort food ☺️ ». La nourriture est bonne, Le service toujours impeccable et le staff bien souriant! Ca ne m’étonne pas que ce buffet existe tjrs après 35 ans et soit tjrs aussi rempli de gens! Ce qui est fait avec amour reste! Bon succès à Tomas Tam ainsi qu’à toute l’équipe! ❤️🔥”

“We were absolutely delighted with our meals. The Rouge Poutine was plentiful and juicy, hidden beneath the freshly grilled chicken! A real treat, but very high in calories, lol.
We'll be back again this evening to try the Rouge Bol. We'd love to come back sometime, but Vienna is quite a distance away!

“I arrived before dinner rush. Place was quiet, clean and accommodating. Staff was courteous, and professional. I ordered the Filet mignon which included the soup of the day,dessert and coffee. Meat was tender, well season and satisfyingly rich accompanied with steam veggies (broccoli, carrots and white colliflower), mash potato and a succulent buttery gravy. The blue martini was less than desirable; tasted more like a sweet drink, no taste of alcohol. If you want something stronger, be wise in your selection. I highly recommend this place, it has great atmosphere, price is reasonable, and top service from staff. -happy customer 😊😊😊”
