This was simply the best experience we had at a restaurant! From the moment Chef Tim welcomed us in, we spent the whole evening there with the most incredible and delicious dishes. Each plate was filled with new flavours yet perfectly balanced. Chef Tim is super friendly and talented. Definitely wanting to come back the next time we visit Quebec City. He also gave us his local recommendations on cafes and restaurant which we enjoyed 😊

We had a truly wonderful experience at Alentours. We were warmly greeted by Chef Tim and his wife as we arrived for our 6 pm. reservation. Food was awesome and delivered to us with a full explanation of each course, including interesting details and origins. One of us informed at booking of requiring vegetarian options - which was no problem. Watched cocktails being made - amazing and imaginative. The evening flew by as we chatted and ate. Highly recommended- we look forward to returning! Best dinner experience we have had in a very long time. Thank you !!

My wife and I were in town visiting for 3 nights. After eating here on the first night, we could have eaten here the next two nights as well because it was that delicious. Tim created a special experience. Delicious food, interesting combinations, truly local and organic cuisine, a relaxing environment, a great soundtrack to the evening, and it added to the experience by getting to watch him prepare all of the cold dishes right in front of us. We would recommend Restaurant Alentours to anyone. They offer a true taste of the foods that Quebec has to offer. Restaurant Alentours is a prime example of how all restaurants should operate. We will definitely be coming back then next time we are in town. If you are deciding between a few different restaurants, choose Restaurant Alentours!

The flavours here aren’t just flavours, they’re a journey. Each dish felt like a guided experience, not just a plate of food. Chef Tim walked us through every detail: what it was made with, what it was infused with, and somehow… it all actually made sense.

This isn’t one of those restaurants where you’re bombarded with posh words that make you feel out of place, where you smile and nod, but secretly think, what on earth did they just say?

You know the type: you sit there politely, waiting for the monologue to end so you can finally dig in, only to take a bite and think, oh… that’s it?

No surprise. No joy. Just the disappointment of another overhyped, under-flavoured bite.
And that’s exactly why most of us prefer the non-fancy spots, they don’t waste your time. They punch you in the face with flavour.

But this place… this is different.

You take a bite, and flavour one arrives. Then you hit the centre, and flavour two bursts through, layered with hints of something else. Then comes the aftertaste, whispering a third wave of something unexpected but familiar.
And the beauty is, you know what you’re tasting. Because Chef Tim told you, and you actually understood. He speaks like a real person. And that makes all the difference.

This isn’t just dining. It’s connection. It’s warmth. It’s playfulness.
It feels like being in a friend’s kitchen, if that friend just happened to be a Michelin star level chef.

They’re not Michelin yet… but I’m telling you now: they will be.

Chef Tim, you’ve created something truly rare. A place where everything gives, and nothing disappoints.
To anyone reading this: if you haven’t tried his food, I’m sorry to say, you might be the unluckiest person alive.

This restaurant is the best concept in town! Food with a level of excellence and research that would make many blush! The owners take the time to explain to us the origin of the products on our plate and their relationship with the producers! A unique experience! I HIGHLY recommend going there! You won't regret it and as a bonus, you will learn about new Quebec products or wines!

Meilleur concept en ville!! une qualité et une recherche exceptionnelles! les propriétaires prennent le temps d'expliquer la provenance des différents aliments qui composent nos plats ainsi que la relation avec les producteurs. Que dire de l'ambiance feutrée et de la convivialité des propriétaires! Une expérience unique qui donne l'opportunité de connaître davantage sur les produits québécois et de découvrir de nouveaux vins québécois! Je recommande FORTEMENT!!!!!

Unexpected surprise. Truly original and a dining experience that will delight even seasoned foodies. The husband/wife duo were absolutely charming and made us feel at home. The seemed to enjoy sharing their passion for the local terroir and were happy to discuss the methods used to create various dishes. We would absolutely come back again.
Also, much appreciated the non-alcohol options, sustainability, and the progressive no-tipping policy.

Probably the best restaurant I have ever eaten at! The service is incredible, the concept is very beautiful. The food is just wow 🤩 the chef is definitely a culinary genius. The balance of flavors is exceptional. On the menu I had several times an item that I usually don't eat, and yet in my meal I really liked it. It’s really a very good restaurant. I highly suggest you try it
