Restaurant Beffroi Steakhouse

Ce soir, je suis allé manger au Beffroi (mais il faudrait appeler cela BefFROID). C'était ma deuxième fois à ce restaurant et, malheureusement, je ne suis pas pressé d'y retourner. Honnêtement, nous avons été placés à la table la plus froide du restaurant (collée sur la porte d'entrée, qui demeure ouverte même à 4/5 degrés dehors...). Ça a pris au moins 10 minutes avant d'avoir un "bonjour" de la part de notre serveuse et pour commander deux verres de vin comme apéro. En passant bien manger, nous nous sommes dit que ce serait bien de prendre un STEAK étant donné la spécialité des lieux. Nous en avons profité pour commander une soupe à l'oignon comme entrée également. Une fois servie, la soupe était plutôt tiède, mais tout de même à mon goût. Le problème, c'est surtout lorsque nous avons reçu les STEAK. L'assiette fut servie avec un bol de frites et un bol de salade, tous deux collés par une purée de pommes de terre douces sous les bols pour qu'ils ne puissent bouger... Je ne sais pas si cette purée était commestible, mais je n'ai pas eu le choix d'y goûter puisque mon STEAK était directement sur cette colle. Nous avions demandé un STEAK medium-saignant, mais malheureusement la cuisson n'était pas uniforme (ce que nous avons constaté plus tard après quelques bouchées). La première bouchée fut surprenante étant donné que la viande n'était pas chaude du tout. À la limite d'être FROIDE... pourtant, le suiteur nous avait bien prévenu que les "assiettes" étaient chaudes. Le contenu n'était toutefois pas chaud du tout. Enfin, même si nous avions voulu le mentionner à quiconque, nous n'avons pas eu cette chance puisque le service était loin d'être complet. Entre le service de l'assiette et la fin de notre repas, il n'y a jamais eu de retour à la table de la serveuse (servir de l'eau, demander si la cuisson est bonne, si c'était à notre goût, LA BASE QUOI). Il a fallu qu'un autre employé entendre notre conversation pour enfin réaliser qu'il y avait un problème, mais nous avions déjà mangé quelques bouchées pour ne pas attendre plus de temps encore... Le repas s'est terminé assez rapidement, sans dessert et avec un ridicule 10% de rabais sur la facture avant taxes... et bien sûr une tentative d'excuses de la part de notre serveuse qui ne savait pas du tout quoi dire ou quoi faire en de telles situations. Heureusement pour moi, le McDonald de la rue St-Jean était encore ouvert après le repas...

Beautiful restaurant, noisy but OK for this type of restaurant, much too expensive for this quality $300 for two with only 2 glasses of wine. $70.00 for the rib steak which is very ordinary but it's overrated. The crème brûlée is good but the coffee and dishwater were ultimately not charged for the coffees. For this price range we will not return there again and will go to il teattro for a much more refined and affordable cuisine for its quality.

We ate here twice during our 2 day stay in the attached L'hotel Royal Palace. Both experiences were great. They made accommodations for the kids, who are picky eaters, and service was excellent.

It's always a pleasure to eat at Le Beffroi. The atmosphere and service are pleasant and the food is excellent.

Service and the ambience was amazing but the food was mediocre at best. Chowder 6/10, Boston 2/10, Lamb shank 4/10. Drinks were alright. Good bread.

Our Christmas dinner was terrible. I had prime rib ordered medium rare and when it arrived it was fully cooked and had no pink in it....in fact it looked grey. I was given a dried out potato and had to ask for more butter, which never arrived until after I finished what I could eat, and was given two over cooked carrots, a dried out piece of corn on the cob and one broccoli floret. My husband had a sea food medley which he claims was not good at all. Additionally, we had water accidently spilled on us when a panicked hostess swiftly walked by our table and caught the edge of the table and knocked over the water and silverware at our table.

I believe that the restaurant was not prepared for the turnout and ended up cutting corners on meals. I also believe that the kitchen staff was not their primary staff.

I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Steak was good... And so was the onion soup... Unfortunately I didn't get everything I ordered... We were a big group which could explain this, although it's not excusable especially since I was charge for the extra a never got...
The restaurant is not not so big but cozy... Unfortunately being part of the hotel it brought more traffic.... Anyway we had a good experience but it's missing that touch to make it up to its expectations...

We booked for Christmas lunch for 3 and unfortunately I wasn’t aware it was brunch buffet not the lunch menu (it could have being in French but it wasn’t obvious on the website). We arrived 15 minutes before our booking at 1. To be then told it was a buffet and it closes at 2. As it was Christmas Day and no other options we accepted. After about 20- 30 since our arrival we were told they were closing up the buffet so if we wanted anything extra we would have get it now. Staff at this time were having their share of the leftovers. This was incredibly disappointing considering we paid nearly $200 for the meal and we were rushed through!!!!! If this information had been told to me we wouldn’t have sat down and figured something else out. Why did they take my booking of this was the case? The whole experience was ruined by this.
