If you love — or even just like — jazz, this should be on your list to visit in the heart of Quebec’s Old City. We somehow missed it on previous visits, and so it came as a welcome surprise during Winter Carnival 2024. The decor and cozy atmosphere create a classic, yet laid-back vibe. Bob, the owner, is super-friendly and an accomplished guitarist himself. There is a modest cover charge when visiting bands are in the house, and drink prices are very reasonable (no food is served). We visited on a slow Monday with no cover charge when Bob and local musicians played, and again on a busier mid-week evening with a visiting band. Doors opened at 8pm, and the music, which was excellent on both nights, began at 9pm. As other reviewers have noted, the bar attracts tourists and locals alike, and it is easy to make friends with fellow jazz enthusiasts. If you have trouble finding seats or want to talk, head upstairs, though the view of the band is much more limited. We will be back!

Lovely hidden gem, although you must arrive early as it gets packed before the show quite quickly (it was full at 8.15pm). Enjoyed the fun jazz and lovely conservations with other bar-goers. Prices are very reasonable too. Loved the atmosphere, would 100% return.

Little corner of paradise breathing the old wood of the old-fashioned architecture, the copper and leather of the instruments, the Quebec cervoise and the human warmth. Every evening at 9 p.m., the show is on, jazz culture is at its peak. The feeling of being with lovers of life and music. Every day is a unique event. A talented concert, free, or rather the price of a beer.To be enjoyed without moderation. For me by far the best night spot in town
