Went for breakfast before our walking tour, we were cutting it a bit close and were concerned as they were SO busy, but the service was amazing and the food came out quickly and was the best breakfast we’ve had while we were here. Definitely try the homemade strawberry jam!

We decided to eat at this restaurant after reading the reviews. Unfortunately our experience was less than expected. We ordered the pea soup with a hamburger and the pea soup never was delivered. We left the restaurant having not received it as it was ‘still warming up’! Will not return or recommend this restaurant!

The food is mediocre. At least what I ate. My bf said the same thing. The potatoes are very good though. The wait was long. I don't get why they don't just take names and text when table is available. They kept telling people to not stand infront of the art store next door.i feel like that's a simple fix to having 30 ppl wait in line. And reading reviews people complain the staff is rude. I can understand what they mean. I think there busy but they come across stand offish so if your sensitive you may feel like they are rude.

Great poutine and by the line you can see the quality. Very enjoyable.

L'Antiquaire Buffet is a traditional quebecois restaurant.
I recommend to book since it used to be busy.
Cipaille is their specialty, a traditional quebecois meal, it's a meat pie based on beef/calf, pork and chicken

Busy Old Quebec breakfast spot
There’s almost always a line outside, which shows how popular this place is. We came for breakfast — portions were hearty, and the food was comforting in a traditional Quebecois style. Drinks were limited (mainly coffee and juice). Staff was courteous but clearly very busy, so there wasn’t much time for small talk or personal touches. The floor was greasy and slippery, so be careful on rainy days.
It’s a good stop if you’re nearby, but honestly not worth waiting more than 10 minutes in line. Try coming early in the morning before the rush for a smoother experience.
