Our last night in Quebec was quite the disappointment. We passed this establishment several times throughout our stay and thought it would be a great place to grab an app and a drink or two. My significant other and I sat down, immediately ordered an appetizer (beef tartare), one drink, and proceeded to wait an hour and a half for the food to arrive. One cocktail and a glass of wine took 35 minutes to arrive as well.
Working in hospitality, we understand the hardships in the industry, but to not receive any update on our one appetizer (literally not cooked) was disappointing. After an hour and a half we gave up and asked for the check. Not receiving our app was not even the worst part. When asked, by presumably the Assistant Manager, how our meal was, we explained the situation. Without any remorse or apology, we were told, “Okay, please insert your card.”
The lack of empathy was quite alarming for a place that seems to pride themselves on great service and atmosphere.
We ended up walking out before our appetizer was even served (or sent to the kitchen) and went to another restaurant that took care of us and understood our frustrations.
We hate leaving bad reviews knowing how hard the hospitality industry can be, but the lack of remorse for wasting our time and the indecency of Management is hard to ignore. We paid 30$ for a terrible conclusion to our otherwise perfect vacation.

So disappointing, obviously if you’re a senior single female diner the staff believe that plonking plates in front of you without a word and serving interesting food that is overwhelmed with too many flavours is how to run a restaurant. Very surprised when I refused to tip … I expect some modicum of service before tipping, just because you showed up for work isn’t a reason to tip!

This little restaurant is a real find. The menu is very distinctive and the wine list is definitely original. We had the charcuterie board which presented local pâtés and cheeses, all so very tasty. We then had the gnocchi: the best we had ever tasted! So full of flavour. The first wine we enjoyed was a red wine from Gaillac in France and the second was from northern Spain. They were very different and complemented our food fully. The wine list was created by the manager and it carries wines from little known regions, ready to be discovered. Finally, the service was very attentive and friendly.

J’ai opté pour le menu surprise 3 services qui a été adapté en végé juste pour moi :), et c’était mémorable! Terrine de lentilles, pâtes divines aux betteraves et mi-cuit parfaitement préparé au chocolat. 😋 Le vin et les cocktails tout aussi bons et le service a1. J’ai hâte de revenir!

Very small bistro attached to e'Chaude. Very small menu with exquisite attention to detail in every dish. Really fabulous meat and cheese board, perfection. A lovely pappardelle, with or without truffle. Perfect preparation. Open kitchen, try sitting at the bar. Make a reservation and go!

I really like this place! The small menu really makes them really focus on what they are good at. Very knowledgeable staff and the restaurant is slightly out of the busiest area so it isn't too touristy. Definitely recommend!
