I would not recommend La Maison Marocaine at all. We visited yesterday and had a very disappointing experience.
The food had no flavor whatsoever – it was bland and tasted like boiled food with no seasoning. The service was just as bad. Before arriving, we called to make a reservation, but the person on the phone hung up on us. When we mentioned this upon arrival, she told us she thought we were “scammers” simply because we spoke English and our phone number appeared to be from outside Quebec City. That was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
We still decided to give the place a chance and ordered food for three people, but the quality was terrible. When it came time to pay, the menu showed $78, yet we were suddenly asked to pay an extra 15% for service, which she claimed was “mandatory.” This charge was not included on the bill, and we were pressured into paying it. On top of that, her attitude was very rude, and we felt discriminated against in how we were treated.
Overall, from the food to the service to the way customers are treated, this restaurant does not deserve even one star. We will never return and strongly advise others to avoid it.

We came here for dinner with our family and unfortunately had a very upsetting experience. Our 4-year-old daughter was holding a small ice cream cup when we arrived. The owner told us she could not eat it inside, which we understood, and we agreed to take her outside to finish. Despite this, the other owner came over, spoke very rudely to my wife, and told us to leave the restaurant entirely. When I pointed out how unnecessarily rude he was, he became aggressive and told us to get out, almost running toward me in a threatening way.
We were shocked by this behavior. As customers, we were polite and willing to follow their request, but we were met with hostility instead of respect. Sadly, I cannot recommend this restaurant to families or anyone expecting a welcoming and professional environment.

“A wonderful Moroccan restaurant! The lamb couscous was outstanding—flavorful and perfectly prepared. The soup was slightly salty but still enjoyable. The soft background music created a pleasant atmosphere, and the kids had fun dancing along. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Moroccan cuisine

Great hidden gem, absolutely baffling as to why it was not more crowded. Tasty food, friendly and fast service, cute and pleasant patio, accommodated the vegan in our group easily, and reasonable prices. If you like kabobs, tagine, and couscous, give this restaurant a try!
