An urban sugar shack in the heart of Old Quebec? Mais oui! It was fabulous! We went New Year's Day (highly recommend to get reservations in advance so you do not wait in the cold), and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting, you feel immediately at home! It was very kind that they tend to seat visitors in the rooms away from the frigid air...if you come in the front door, the first two rooms are a bit chilly, so they tend to put visiters in the warmer rooms of the restaurant...
This was my second time visiting La Buche and it was just as great as the first time. I was really impressed with the service. We went on New Year’s Day and the place was packed, one of the members of our group was running late therefore we had to wait to order. The staff did not make a big deal, they never put pressure on us to start ordering and they were very forgiving about the situation. Service was amazing. They have accommodated all our desires and gave us a lot of good impressions!
However, I still think its little bit overrated,
probably because of the New Year's season!
Overall I would still recommend to visit!
