Fun and friendly trendy bar style restaurant that serves to 18+ crowd. Many premium drinks and food is great too. Would go back again.

We had a nice meal here in Quebec City. Extensive drink menu has many choices and they are reasonably priced. We started with the lobster pogos, which were good. We ordered the asian beef tartare...the appetizer serving, which was small. In all fairness, the server alerted us that it was small to share and we were okay with that. We also ordered the pickleator burger, which took forever. Our server finally asked if we got it already and then went to check on it. When we got it, it was delicious, and the manager apologized and took off two of our drinks from the bill. Very fair and appreciated. It's a fun spot in the heart of the action. I would definitely go back.

Had good experiences in past Shaker restaurants before so we were all looking forward to our visit. Arrived to a completely empty restaurant and a few terrace table that were all busy. We were then informed that they had no space available as kids are not allowed inside. It now made sense why this place was so empty compared to all restaurant in the area. While i understand the bar aspect the server was a bit rude about it even though i didn't even tried to argue about it with her, didnt offer me a time when her next terrace table would be available. We left disappointed and frustrated. They're really leaving thousands of dollar in the street, it was the only place that was completely empty.
This was very good especially the burger with the onion ring and cheese curds!
the drinks and appetizers were so good and the two guys that served us were super funny and friendly. definitely need to come back if i’m ever in the city again.

This was my second time coming to Shaker on Rue Saint-Jean this week while I was in Québec City. Their mixology drinks as well as their appetizers and food is some of the most delicious and flavourful I have ever had. Emrick was my server the second time and he was amazing! Quick, excellent service both times I was here, especially from Emrick. This is a new favourite place for me to eat when I come here. I would highly recommend eating and/or having drinks here if you're in the area.

My first visit to Shaker was so good that I ended up going back two days later. I ordered the Western Burger and fries on my first visit and was impressed; one of the best burgers I’ve eaten.
For my second visit I ordered the Pickleator with poutine and it was equally as good. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Fried Dumplings as an appetizer and was impressed; a nice crispy dumpling outside and flavourful beef on the inside. Food presentation was excellent both times.
Drink wise you MUST try the mixology mason jars. I had the Pink Lemonade on my first visit, Sugar Daddy’s and Hibiscus for the second. All were delicious and refreshing.
Overall the food and its presentation were amazing. I want to give the staff a shout out as they were absolutely wonderful. Emrick served us on the second visit and was a lot of fun.
I highly recommend Shaker in Old Quebec if you’re in the area. Fun atmosphere with great staff.

We had reservations! Was completely ignored! Many people came in after us ate and left while we still sat there waiting for our food . Also what was on the menu was told not available.
I searched places and thought I hit a fantastic spot. 2hours for food, no service, just left us there. So many people came in and out ate , drank and we were treated awful. I assume because I chose to speak English and everywhere else in Old Quebec is friendly, super nice and welcoming.I was so excited to go 3 days prepped and never had such an awful experience. Oh, I speak French and when spoken to respond . I guess unless your young, boozing they don't care!

Got the $69 Saturday menu for two on April 25th 2026, 2 Entree tartares, tatakis or burgers, 1 of any appetizer (which range from around $15-23 normally), 1 dessert, and an extra $20 for a full bottle of $32 wine you can take home afterwords.
You get the largest size(or smaller if you prefer) tartares/tatakis; of which we got the beef steak tartare and the tuna tataki, both of which were excellent and came with garden salad and fries. The wagyu dumpling appetizer was great with a tangy plum(?) sauce, but it was a tough choice with all the great appetizers available. After all that we choose the chocolate/caramel cake which comes in a large jar and is perfect for taking home if you're already full, it was delicious aswell.
Overall SHAKER was %100 worth it, if anything it was a bit loud at times but was completely full and not loud enough that I couldn't hold a conversation. Server was bilingual and excellent with service/suggestions, maitre d was attentive to everyone in the restaurant and checking to make sure we were always doing well. Can't say a bad thing about this place, if you're looking for a good lower-price for the cuisine but excellent meal I would heavily reccomend.
