My first and last time going. There was 5 of us that went in. 4 out of the 5 orders were wrong and all the fries were cold. When I got my meal, it was for a different table. I was told the meal wasn’t mine so I put it to the side and waited. After nearly everyone else was finished, I asked if my meal was coming out. They said “there is no other meal”. I requested they warm up my wrong order and I will eat it. Never going back, and I will recommend you not going until they fix their communication and get orders correct. The table behind us, got chicken wraps with lettuce and onion they didn’t want. It also had no mayo, and they requested it. If you order anything special like (no mustard) you will ALWAYS get mustard. There was an employee that wasn’t working but was eating there. They said “if the food isn’t right just don’t come back”. Terrible staff. Food is never right.

Cozy atmosphere with soft music and country charm. The fries were amazingly crispy and hot and the wraps we got were just fabulous. The young lady who waited our table was very kind and friendly and I hope she knows she's doing such a great job!I would recommend to anyone road tripping or just stopping by to check them out!

The food here was satisfying, the music was country, and it was warm inside.The ferryman burger with the works was real ground beef, formed into a patty and cooked. I don't often order burgers outside of the city because I feel like I always end up with a patty cooked from frozen, shaped by machine and having the texture of sponge. This is not that. Real burger. Slice of cheese, slice of tomato, piece of lettuce, ketchup, mustard and relish. Simple, and satisfying.The fries are very crispy, they look and taste like lightly battered frozen fries. Better than most places, and definitely better than fast food like McDonald's. They make good crispy poutine fries if you like that. The cheese curds tasted like mozzarella curd, very soft and no squeak. The gravy was light, not particularly rich, tasted okay, though I couldn't tell you what it tastes of. It was an adequate poutine, but I do prefer the ones from the fry truck in town.I'll come back to try the full sends burger and the club sandwich. Not sure if I like the price of the platters, but the sandwiches alone are very reasonable. If you're hungry, and your options are the other fast food or takeout restaurants along the way to/from shawville, this is a pretty good place to stop for a meal.
