A restaurant where you are treated like a friend. The portions are generous and the poutine is really tasty, well salted with a good amount of cheese. I don’t know if it’s THE best poutine in Repentigny, but it’s certainly among the best.

Definitely wished that I knew more French, but thankfully we were able to understand each other enough to order. The steak sues-marin was fantastic, and they suggested putting vinegar on fries, which we don't do in the US, and that was amazing. Glad I stopped here

L’Etoile is a restaurant that delivers on its promise of an honest meal, at a good price, with good service.Don't expect a service with white tablecloths, it's not for you.However, for a good smoked meat sandwich, good fries worthy of a Quebec paterie (ah! Their poutine is delicious with a sauce that is neither too salty nor too peppery!) and steamed hot dogs (aka “roteux”), it’s an excellent address.Add attentive service to the meal, and it makes an inviting restaurant for an unpretentious meal. And don’t hesitate to have a coffee there: it’s good!We'll come back!

You can easily drive 30 minutes just to taste their regular submarines, which remind me of those at Restoroute in the 70s. Best poutine too. The Lanaudoise potatoes are fried in weekly oil, the cheese is well melted and hot as desired. You will be welcomed there like friends. You don't pay for the decor (hence my 4*), but the tables are always clean. As for me, unless I'm in a hurry, I prefer to savor everything in a private place, like at home.
