“My time at Snack Bar D'Amours was a delicious experience, mainly thanks to their exceptional poutine. Poutine is an emblematic dish of Quebec, and the one served by D'Amours was simply delicious. The fries were crispy, the sauce was flavorful and the cheese melted perfectly, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. The added advantage of having a creamery next door is an undeniable asset. After enjoying a delicious poutine, being able to enjoy ice cream or desserts to complete the meal is a real treat. In short, Snack Bar D'Amours is a destination of choice if you are looking for an authentic and tasty poutine, and the option of being able to complete your meal with desserts from the creamery next door makes it a perfect stop to satisfy your taste buds. A must-have gastronomic experience for poutine lovers.“

“I wouldn't consider this rating an accurate rating of the restaurant itself - we ordered the cheese fondue, meat fondue and a chocolate fondue - and I also had a Cesar. The Cesar, although somewhat tasty, I would never order again simply due to the rim...it was unlickable to get off. I'm not sure if they prepared it hours in advance and it had dried on but I literally used my teeth to attempt to scrape of the rim off. With a Cesar, you should be able to lick...and take a drink...this was like licking a heavy grit sandpaper and getting no flavor off of it. Cheese Fondue - cheese was tasty but the bread (in my opinion) should have been more than just raw unflavored cut up pieces of bread (again, I don't have any fondue experience) Meat Fondue - came with 3 random sauces, carrots (that were delicious) and a baked potato and then a plate of raw meat (steak, roast, chicken, broccoli & mushroom) - was it good - yes - the wife did say it was a very good broth that it was being cooked in...but I just don't get it. I had to stab slivers of meat and cook it myself and I paid extra. The carrots were the best I had ever tasted and the baked potato was that...it was good with the small packets of butter they supplied and some salt and pepper. Chocolate Fondue - it came with apples, oranges and waffle that was dipped in chocolate...it was good, no complaints Service staff were excellent - no complaints!“

Symposium Canadian • $$

“Great discovery! If I had more access to a more complete menu at dinner time I would have given it 5 stars! The food is excellent and the prices are good. The restaurant is uncluttered, you don't feel stuck! There is a nice view of the busy street. I would have liked a little more music but at the same time I am sure that I would have had this atmosphere in the evening. I recommend and can't wait to return“
