Restaurant Au Vieux Duluth

I had a reservation at 19:00 for 14 people. 9 showed up. For a Saturday night, i thought it wouldn't be an issue. But some of us fell sick by the food. Some were not impressed by the service. All told me to NOT go there again.

Great food and service. Went on a Saturday afternoon and had lunch with 12 family members. They gave us a table together and some awesome meals.

Despite being maybe 1/3 full, the dinner service was ridiculously slow and inattentive. The portions were generous. However, the cream of mushroom soup was tasteless. The Ceasar salad was beyond wilted, it felt like leftovers from the previous day.

Overall a pretty good experience. Though it did end up getting very busy.

February 14, 2025. 1 hour before we got our plate but there were a lot of people. My plate was #1 and my mother's too we took the same thing as usual plate of butterfly shrimp, my partner and my boy, filet mignon and New York steak 3A a lot of tirasses disappointing especially at the price we pay. The 5⭐ service if you are lucky enough to have Mike, very good service. Atmosphere #1. We always go there (what we like) always excellent but tonight the meat 1/10.

We had booked for Valentine's Day for two and we were picked up to wait in the cold with more than 35 other couples waiting outside because they had booked for too many people, very nice experience with a poorly polite bald gentlemen because they didn't seem to appreciate seeing people upset

This restaurant always has a warm welcome, it is clean and well decorated, lots of booths. The servers are courteous and professional, many have been there for several years so if you become a regular customer, the experience becomes even more personalized! The menu is decadent and generous, the butterfly shrimp and grill chicken are my favorite dishes. The Bring Your Own Wine option adds that little extra. They even do take out which remains faithful in terms of portion for eating at home. Our family is sold on this restaurant!
