Firegrill St-Laurent: A Mixed Experience - 3.9/5

At first glance, Firegrill St-Laurent makes a fantastic impression. The restaurant is stunning, with a beautifully designed space that exudes warmth and sophistication. The staff is equally impressive—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely fun to interact with. They made us laugh and were incredibly helpful throughout the evening.

The presentation of the food was equally appealing, and it’s clear that attention to detail is a priority. However, the experience faltered when it came to execution. I ordered the Filet Mignon blue, but it arrived more cooked than I had requested, missing the mark on this delicate preparation. I also opted for a lobster tail, but unfortunately, it was served undercooked. When I sent it back, I was disappointed that the same tail was simply refired rather than replaced—a surprising choice, given the $26 price tag. To add to the frustration, it came back overcooked.

That said, I don’t suspect these issues are a regular occurrence. It’s possible that their top chefs weren’t in the kitchen on December 26th—a busy time of year where inconsistencies can sometimes happen. Everything else we ordered was well-prepared and enjoyable, and the ambiance made the evening pleasant.

With some improvements in food preparation, Firegrill has the potential to be exceptional. For now, it’s a good spot with some room to grow.

They attached 2 round tables for a 7 persion reservation which was not really conformable.

First time at this restaurant. I was there for a dinner with colleagues. The service was great and the food excellent. My meat was excellent and cooked as I asked. My end-of-meal coffee was lukewarm and a little disappointing. But it was still a pleasant experience.

Wow! Great discovery this evening for me in this magnificent Grill restaurant. You will find yourself in a very dark but still warm decor.
The menu is not too varied and the food, yum excellent.
Fast service and the plates arrive hot.
A place to return for sure

Went for a birthday dinner over the weekend. Unfortunately they need to have a sanitary inspection because we saw mice running in the indoor dining area. It ruined the entire night. The manager refused to acknowledge our complaints. This would’ve never happened at the location on Stanley. What a terrible way to spend your time and money at such a special occasion. Not impressed at all.
