We went on a Friday 6:30 dinner with reservation. We were a group of 6. We ordered fattouche salads, Babaghanouche and kebe Nayeh as entrées. The entrées were good. Then 3 Ordered Lamb chops, 2 kofta kebab and 1 shish kebab filet mignon. The kofta kebab was good. The lamb chops were not good at all, with a very strong smell of mouton. The taste was so strong for lamb, 1 friend did not touch the plate. The other person ate 1 piece and that was it. The 3rd person ate it. The shish kebab was good. The lady who took our order was an older lady, looked grumpy, no smile whatsoever, and was just wanted us to order even without us touching our entrées which was very strange. Never felt this rush in any restaurant! The restaurant does not close until 9:30pm! We even asked her what time does the restaurant closes since we thought they changed the closing hours on a Friday. The lady seemed to be there in spite of herself. We will definitely not go back to this restaurant. We did not like the service at all, felt very rushed. The food was ok, nothing special.

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Daou Restaurant. 😞
While it once offered authentic Lebanese food and a warm atmosphere, the quality has noticeably declined. The dishes lacked the flavor and freshness I used to enjoy, and the service felt rushed and inattentive. It's disappointing to see a place that used to be a go-to for great Lebanese cuisine lose its charm. I hope they take feedback seriously and work on improving both food and service.

It was a sudden and unexpected visit! The place is good; the food is better than other restaurants of its class; the area is strategically located in St-Laurent; there's a good number of free parking while someone organizes the space too; the pricing is quite high but reasonable. Try and see for yourself, I recommend the place.

Amazing good
Will not go back.
Fattouch made of bread and romaine lettuce. Tabbouleh swimming in it's water... Hommos and Baba Ghanoush served on a flat plate and not well done...
I feel bad to put this review but it's sad for an Institution like Daou to get to this level...
I took some non lebanese friends for a supper and I regret taking them to Daou.
I hope they wake up and improve.
