We arrived in Lyon on a Sunday, very jet lagged and in no mood to go far for dinner. This place was close to our apartment and recommended by the host. The restaurant was very pleasant and the staff attentive and friendly. We were actually very pleased with the “assiettes” we chose — I had the fish and my husband the steak. The wine was good. If I’d reviewed this restaurant immediately, I’d have given it four stars. However, after three weeks in Lyon, I’ve had many much better meals for less money. This is food — well cooked and well presented by a friendly staff — but there is no imagination and nothing special to induce us to return. I do see that they post lunch menus that seem to be better value.
No attention to customers whatsoever. The waitress was with some friends and did the minimum to serve us. Slow and ineffective. Food was good but it’s a pity the forget that customer service is key!
Best meal we had in a long weekend in Lyon. We popped in here for lunch after a visit to the Musee des Beaux Arts. It’s not too big, so has a nice atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. There were 2 set lunches on offer, one for 16 euros, comprising a starter, main and dessert (I.e. no choice) and the other was priced at 18 euros and offered two choices of each course. The food was lovely, with the fish main in particular cooked to perfection. Each main was served with a good selection of vegetables.
A small and carefully selected menu of mostly local products, excellent and nicely presented. Very pleasant service. A good wine list. A wonderful small restaurant for a great meal. Highly recommend.
This was literally opposite the Air bnb where we were staying, so went on our first night! Gorgeous good - you can have tapas or a main meal. I had steak which was divine with tasty fries! We shared the boudin blanc as a starter which was fabulous! Washed down with delicious red wine - what's not to like!
Options for vegan - vegetarian options were terrific - others dishes fabulous. Staff very accommodating and fun!
