J’étais un fan fini de ce restaurant depuis longtemps, très longtemps. J’y sus allé en couple, en famille et avec des collègues à un nombre incalculable de fois. Or, ce restaurant a été vendu et les nouveaux propriétaires ne réussissent pas à garder la vibe. J’y suis allé à 3 reprises depuis et ce fut une déception à chaque fois. Bien que la viande demeure bonne, tout le reste s’est détérioré et le service est devenu plutôt expéditif. À ce prix on cherche plus une soirée relax ce qui suppose que, sans abuser, on aime ça prendre un peu plus notre temps mettons. Aussi, les accompagnements sont négligés. La pomme de terre au four sèche qu’on m’a servi semblait réchauffé de la veille tout comme les 3 minuscules asperges tout aussi desséchées. D’ailleurs Je me demande comment cette assiette à réussi à sortir de la cuisine sans que personne n’intervienne. Finalement, j’ai passé la soirée à m’enfarger dans un tapis usé et déchiré sous la jolie table qui n’aura pas réussi à servir de cache misère. Dommage, j’ai perdu mon restaurant préféré. Aux nouveaux propriétaires, je pense que vous savez ce que vous avez à faire. Bonne continuation mais moi je n’y retournerai plus.

I loved my choice of salad with blue cheese vinaigrette, and the filet mignon with mushroom sauce, delicious.. A special mention for our waitress Monique, very good service, really kind and attentive. She made my evening!

The very best dining experience in Saint Sauveur. It's a positive environment all around, although things have changed they seem to have changed for the better. Keith seems very dedicated to accommodate and ensure a phenomenal night. The team seemed delighted and showed a great sense of humour.. The food was delicious, it's obvious the new cook is a master of the trade.. Everything was cooked to perfection. Not to mention a very clean atmosphere. If you've had a bad experience before give it another try. It takes time to form a masterpiece. Especially when you have to live up to the Gibby's standard
I have been a Gibbys client for over 30 years. This has been my go to for special occasions. The hostess / manger Jennifer was excellent in trying to resolve the issue but unfortunately we will not be back and I foresee Gibbys closing. New ownership has to do a quick turnaround if they want to hang on. Onion soup was like warm, salad plates were not chilled. My wife’s filet mignon was undercooked, that our server even said, oh my goodness I’m taking that back, then brought it back at instead of being medium it was well done and could not be eaten. The cake was literally all whipped cream. Even the camera wasn’t working! I feel bad for the staff that have been there for years to see this one time institution of fine dining known for excellence in steak and seafood falling apart. Even long time favourites like chicken kiev, veal chop , youville lamb chops off the menu. If you want an outstanding meal, go somewhere else. Our server seemed so turned off, as this was clearly not the first time having issues that we were never even offered coffee. Prime time Saturday night, empty tables……

We went to celebrate my Wife's birthday, and once I mentioned to our waitress, she brought us a whole cake, so kind.
I strongly recommend this place. The food is excellent, tasty, quality, and the atmosphere and service, impecable. We will definitely go back soon.

My husband had a filet mignon steak as a main course, he asked for medium cooking and the steak was very cooked and the fries very soft. We are very disappointed and the main waitress did not take care of us, it was the second waitress who was excellent. The price is very expensive for the quality of the food. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Nous allons chez Gibby's ( Montréal ou St-Sauveur) depuis presque 40 ans. C'est notre tante qui nous l'a fait découvert. C'est TOUJOURS fantastique. Mais hier, petite déception: impossible d'avoir notre apéritif préféré: le gin Gimlet. C'est à votre resto qu'il est le meilleur. Et ma tante était avec nous; ça faisait 20 ans qu'elle n'était pas allé. Et c'est son drink préféré à elle aussi... Mais pour le reste, impeccable comme d'habitude. Cuisson des viandes: parfaite. Notre serveur était attentionné, courtois et plein d'humour. Donc nous continuerons nos traditions. Et nous avons promis à notre tante que nous reviendrons ( faudra pas attendre trop longtemps, elle a 88 ans et on ne connait pas l'avenir...)

What an extremely disappointing restaurant. Our dinner was awful the lamb chops were fatty tasteless and looked nothing like what they should have. The filet Mignon was also tasteless and not cooked as ordered. The overall experience was terrible considering the high prices this restaurant charges we will definitely not return and will let our family and friends no to not bother with this restaurant.
