Excellent Thai food
Hands down the best thai food I had in Quebec!! Taste is authentic, as if it is cooked by a thai grandmother. Nice terrace with great view is a bonus! And they were very welcoming of our dog. The service is welcoming and careful. I really recommend it :)

**Chalet Thai – Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue**
Had a really nice lunch at Chalet Thai! The **atmosphere** is top-notch — you're right by the water, shaded and relaxed, which makes it a perfect summer spot. **Service** was excellent — super friendly and attentive, made us feel right at home.
**Food** was good, around **3.5 out of 5**. Flavors were decent, but just a heads-up: rice bowls come as a small extra charge, which feels a bit off when you're already ordering a main. That said, the **Tsingtao beer** was a pleasant surprise — great to have a cold one by the water.
Overall, it’s worth going for the vibe and the service alone — and with a cold beer in hand, it’s easy to enjoy the day.

Bad expensive food. Went in for lunch, I ordered a papaya salad and spring rolls. The waiter was insisting on serving us drinks even if we declined. My boyfriend was asked if he wanted rice with his order but wasn't told it would be $4.50 extra. Rice arrived before the rest and sat on the table for 10 min. My salad was drenched in fish sauce, it was gross. I counted 2 mint leaves total. Spring rolls were 90% noodles, 5% wilting iceberg lettuce and 5% shrimp. Waiter said he couldn't do anything about it. Service was awkward and food expensive but of low quality.

Food was mediocre, but the papaya salad in particular did not meet my partner's modest expectations. I had to give it a shot for myself and I have to say I agreed. Tried to send it back but was told there is nothing they can do and that's just how they make it there. I had to pay for it anyhow. I did so, in a very awkward parting interaction with the waiter who tried to waive this off pleasantly. There is no way I'll ever go back despite their bizarre suggestion to come try something else. Seems a little sad and desperate, I hope things improve.
