If you are seeking for a decent Thai cuisine, I do not recommend this restaurant. I was disappointed their food. It was overpriced. The taste was too ordinary. And the portion was small. There is only good thing you can see nice view.

It was our first time back after a while. The portions have drastically decreased and the plates consist of the protein and vegetables for a minimum of $22, and you have to pay an extra $5 for rice, which should just be included. It costs you a minimum of $30 for a small portion that doesn't fill you up. For the portion, rice should always be included. The pad Thai had 3-4 small shrimps. Guess we won't be coming back.

The waiter was kind and tended to us well. I ordered a chicken with red curry, which while pleasant and light, was a bit overpriced for the portion given. It also was surprising that you had to pay for a cup of rice, apx. 4$ for regular rice and 50 cents more for sticky rice, when in any other restaurant the rice is accompanied by the meal. A single serving of chicken curry with a side of rice was 31$. I believe that other menu items would perhaps be more worthwhile- although if you're looking for Thai styled chicken with red curry, there are better tasting and more reasonably priced restaurants downtown.

From the moment you step into Chalet Thai, you’re greeted with a warmth that promises an exceptional dining experience. The service here is nothing short of excellent, with staff members who are not just attentive but genuinely caring. They frequently check in to ensure your comfort, making the entire meal feel personalized and special.
The menu is a delightful journey through Thailand’s culinary landscape, offering an extensive range of traditional dishes that cater to various palates. Whether you’re a Thai cuisine aficionado or a curious first-timer, there’s something here for everyone.
A standout dish is the Chicken Thai Curry, which is a harmonious blend of spices and coconut milk, creating a comforting yet exotic taste that lingers pleasantly. The Fried Rice is fluffy and well-seasoned, making it the perfect accompaniment to the curry. The Chicken Sauté with Vegetables and Peanut Sauce is another must-try, with its tender chicken pieces and vibrant veggies drenched in a delectable peanut sauce that’s both nutty, sweet and savory.
For families, this restaurant is a gem. They are notably conscious of serving children promptly, ensuring that the little ones are happy and fed without undue wait times. It’s a thoughtful touch that adds to the restaurant’s family-friendly appeal.
A small tip for future patrons: consider ordering a small rice to go with your curry dishes. It’s the ideal portion to savor the curry without overwhelming your taste buds or your appetite.
In conclusion, this Thai restaurant is a culinary delight that offers more than just a meal; it provides an experience that’s rich in flavours and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in the true essence of Thai cuisine. Bon Appétit et merci!??

This is long overdue as we dined there in June but better late than never as they say. We were on Sainte-Annes that evening and decided to try Chalet Thai. The service was really good and they were great with their recommendations. The food was delicious, loved the dumplings! Also, we did not feel rushed in any way and the service was fast despite them being pretty busy ? Very nice cozy place. Highly recommend !

I was sick 2 days after that dish. Fornsure something was not right to that. The noodles were overcooked, i found only 3 small srimps in entire plate, and 100% not the original taste thai. Very disappointed.

Beef with Thai sauce and the fresh spring rolls were awesome. Service were good. Very nice terrasse right next to the river. Back entrance has access to the canal lock boardwalk for a nice stroll after lunch or dinner. Very enjoyable, would go again.
Parking: Street parking is difficult, but there is a free public parking lot just north of the restaurant, 2 minute walk.
