I haven't been in the area for a few years, but after having some ice cream elsewhere recently, I was reminded of the delicious coffee gelato (I forget if it was espresso or cappuccino) I had here back then. It had just the right amount of bitterness (from the coffee) to really enhance the flavor and give it some complexity. Most other coffee ice cream I've had elsewhere is just sweet, so this was quite a pleasant surprise. I'd definitely eat it again next time...
I was in the area and came upon this place on Happy Cow. I believe it was the owner who greeted us and was very eager to let us try the many flavours of vegan gelato 🙏 he said they also had other flavours in the back, however I didn't try those ones. It was very tasty and a great option if you're in the area. A side note though, the churros are NOT vegan, as confirmed by the owner. He said "they only have a little butter in them". So make sure to ask before...
Great choice of fresh, homemade gelato. The owner was out front and gave us info about all the ingredients. Plus, you get a free churro with an ice cream! There’s even a little toy box with free (little) toys for kids. A hidden gem.
