Easy access and delicious food and coffee!
Our 1st stop always entering Canada. Fantastic French
I needed a place to stay near Derby Vermont and it was worth crossing the border to come here. It’s A two minute drive to the Global Traveler application center, but more importantly, it offered everything I needed for a last minute place to sleep. The.bed is super comfortable and the communal living room/kitchen area has a full-size fridge, range, toaster, microwave and toaster oven. Plenty of dishes, plates, flatware, pots and pans and anything else one might need. The terrace adjacent to this area is a great space where you can grill food or just hang out. Downstairs there is a cafe to enjoy the breakfast that is included with your stay. You can also purchase food to go, including quiche, cheese, bread and other items that look delicious. Karine was kind and accommodating. I highly recommend Auberge le Sunshine.
My boyfriend and I stopped in for coffee and pizza while we spent the holiday weekend in Stanstead -- pizza was soo delicious, forgot to take a pic until we almost finished it lol but the brick oven crust was perfect! The coffee was very good and hit the spot-- and the people working in the Cafe are very friendly and welcoming!
If you're there on a Friday or Saturday when the pizza oven is going, definitely try one of their pies!!
Our breakfast dish was amazing. Service was great. We had omelet with duck eggs. Unfortunately we wanted to stay at their hotel , but there were no rooms with private bathrooms
A delightful small bakery and café just over the border.
This cafe is fantastic and the building is as cute as can be! We were staying in Vermont for vacation and drove over the border twice just to get pastries because everything was so fresh and delicious. The staff was very helpful and the food was reasonably priced. On the 2nd trip up, I planned on getting a cheese croissant but sadly there weren't any in the bakery case (I think I arrived a bit late in the morning..). The gentleman behind the counter didn't hesitate to offer to make some fresh croissants for me. My significant other ordered a scotch egg which he loved and my daughter got a sweet dessert and devoured every last bite. On top of the delicious fresh food, they were polite and patient which clearly is a plus when traveling to another country and not speaking the native language. I highly recommend making the trip to this bakery! Go check it out, you will not be disappointed!
This bakery is the best! It has different types of pastries, coffee, breads, meats, and cheeses. They have things to sell, and tables to sit to eat your delicious goodies!
Great food and large portions. Very friendly service
Brunch with the family while on vacation. You have set a new standard for the best quiche i've ever had.
For others viewing this, it's worth the drive if you're in Vermont.

Excellent B and B experience. There is a king bed room on the third floor, but be prepared for low ceilings in the stairwell and eaves of the room. Above a small bakery, breakfast is outstanding. The proprietors are helpful and accommodating.
Great stuff
Charming Auberge with comfortable rooms in Stanstead. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our breakfasts very much and the dinner was just what we wanted.
You really must pay this lovely little café a visit when you're passing through, or stop by on your bike if you're feeling like a rest. You can always count on a warm smile and a delicious meal when you visit! They are always able to accomodate my gluten-free needs. Today I had a delicious grilled cheese and ham sandwich on GF bread. They even serve beer for those looking to stop for a quick cold one!
