“I have been going to this brasserie since I was a kid and have a deep attachment to it. I've always known it to be a nice place for a beer and a side of pub food, but my family and I have always gone during the day.My last visit was for an evening meal, and ho my.There was a hen party, and they wanted us all to know they were having the time of their life. The screeching banshees were so loud that our poor waiter, straining to hear my order through the wails of artificial, ethylic joy, brought me a completely different order to what I'd asked.No matter! The Fish and chips were deliciously satisfying and confirmed as excellent by my British companion, and his chicken burger was equally pleasant, as were the cocktails.I just wish we'd been able to eat without being subjected to the shrieks of inebriated patrons when it was barely 7PM.“
