We went there two evenings in a row because we really enjoyed the dishes, the atmosphere and the waiter!!! Very well cooked French dishes (small downside on the boiled vegetables but we know that this is very common in Quebec). We will come back with pleasure!!

The food is awesome. My husband loves French cuisine and he really really loves all the dishes we had, duck, salmon, spinach soup, linguine and we especially loves the dessert,...soooo good. The serviceis excellent ?? finally, the price is very very reasonable. Highly recommend for everyone.

Auberge A La Fontaine served an excellent 3-course meal for a very reasonable $18 Canadian ($12 US). The prix fixe lunch started with a delicious carrot ginger soup or a fresh salad with a mustard vinaigrette, choice of 5 entrees and ending with chocolate mousse. I'm a vegetarian and they offered me two choices: a cheese omelet with vegetables or pasta with pesto. I chose the omelet and was glad I did as it was a French style, almost souffle-like, and delicious. The service was attentive despite a full restaurant. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious. The owners son our waiter. The service was excellent. We all ordered the flounder dish with lobster sauce. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared.

SPECTACULAR!! We were visiting from the States (a vacation in VT) and decided to head north for a wonderful dinner. And boy did we hit the jackpot at Restaurant a la Fontaine in Sutton Quebec. This is classic french cuisine, flawlessly executed, and of exceptional quality. There are not enough good things to say about the outstanding food at this restaurant. We learned from our waiter that it is a chef-owned restaurant, and it's clear that this chef takes tremendous pride in his food. The only negative thing I can say is that this restaurant is not closer to where we live (Boston) and so returning is not an easy thing. But we WILL return and can't wait. If you are anywhere near Sutton Quebec, do yourself a favor and head to this wonderful restaurant. Every single thing we ordered was exceptional. Among the standouts (which was everything), the escargots were incredible, the Soupe a l'Onion was unusually outstanding, the rabbit in prune/plumb sauce was to die for, and the desserts were decadent. We didn't want it to end. We will remember this meal for a very long time. And we will hope to return before not too long.

This is our second visit to la fontaine restaurant in about five years and the service and the food have if anything, just improved.It's in a beautifully maintained old house, right on the main street of Sutton, and serves delicious French cuisine with attentive service.Walkability: Being on the Main Street of Sutton, sometimes parking can be an issue. And if you don't find a space in their own parking lot, you do have to find a space on the Main Street.Food & drinks: The hors d'oeuvres and main courses were cooked to perfection. The vinaigrette was a delicious restaurant secret I'd love to have. Service was friendly and helpful, even when we chose to move in from the terrasse before the meal.

Nous avons été à ce restaurent pour une occasion spécial et donc la réservation avait été faite longtemps à l’avance pour notre petit groupe. Malgré cela plusieurs plats était non disponibles. Des personnes ont du changer à deux reprise, car il n’y en avait plus ou pas suffisamment. Le plats de remplacement offert était une viande de qualité médiocre, tendons et cartilages a profusion. La cuisson était elle aussi raté servit bleu au lieu de médium saignant pour certain ou juste trop cuit. Steak dure et difficile à couper et mastiquer. Officiellement le pire steak que j’ai pu tenter de manger. Pour le service, comment dire… la serveuse a disparue tout au long de la soirée, nous avons du nous lever et nous rendre vers la cuisine afin de commander a boire nous même. Elle n’a jamais vérifier si nous étions correcte. N’a jamais offert le café ou le thé. C’est trompé dans les additions… bref nous ne retournerons plus jamais à ce restaurent, surtout pour un cout de 60$ chaque.

Ce serait peut-être un bon candidat pour l'émission Kitchen Nightmares.

Nous avions notre petit de 4 mois avec nous et nous avons eu droit à quelques commentaires désobligeants puisqu’il a pleuré légèrement. Mauvaise expérience. Nous ne recommandons pas du tout l’endroit.

This without a doubt the worse resto ever!! We got in at 6 and hubby got his meal at 8 I never got mine . Waitress said I never ordered it. Ple get Waitress under 70 I waited 2 hrs for no meal and a lousy Caesar salad worst resto ever so very colicky as well Not a good experience!very

J'ai jamais vu un gravlax autant déprimant.. ne prenez jamais le magret de canard car le serveur vous suggère "médium saignant " et finalement il vous le sert " très bien cuits " je suis allé là-bas un mercredi avec ma conjointe pour avoir un minimum de tranquillité, mais j'ai quand même eu l'impression d'être dans une brasserie du sud-ouest de l'île de Montréal...Le serveur était courtois, mais commençait une discussion et coupait ça au plein milieu pendant que je répondais à sa question, mega manque de respect selon moi !140 très mal investi pour un souper !Même la soupe était sans goût. Je suggère à personne d'aller là-bas ou peut-être seulement prendre un verre, et encore la !
