Delicious, local food flavours and great service . This is a set menu of 5 dishes including dessert with an option to add another 2 and a wine pairing for additional cost . Three of us shared a bottle of wine and one of us chose the wine pairing experience. Really up to you what you decide.
Give yourself plenty of time 2-2.5hrs to fully enjoy the experience as it takes time for each dish to come out. I noticed some ppl commenting on the amount of food and price. We had a party of four ppl and we ALL felt satisfied and happy with what we paid for a 5 course Michelin ⭐️ meal. EXPERIENCE + FOOD = 💯 and well worth the $$$.
The raspberry cocktail which is what we started with was delish … and the local beers my hubby tried were all good as well. ( my fave was the Ayawan which is brewed really close to the resto and if at all inclined can do a day trip to the brewery itself … either via car or down the river ).
NOTE: I missed taking pic of the RATATOUILLE

L'Épicurieux was an absolutely beautiful find! It was a great combination of innovative cuisine in a relaxed setting. The menu highlighted the wonderful, season flavours and textures of local, simple ingredients.

Just sit down and enjoy. The menu is preset, so you don’t have to choose. The food is out of this world. The only drawback is the toilets, they are too close from the dining room.

Saturday evening was closed yet showing open. Went out of my way to go to this closed place. They don't even have a schedule on their website. You've been warned, call before wasting your time.

We had a great time BUT why do bottles of wine start at $80? Kind of makes it difficult to go again or recommend (in fact we won’t). The menu is already expensive, why SO much for unspecial wine?

A superb evening and an absolutely divine menu. I recommend the table facing the kitchen.

Great culinary experience in the Laurentians! We took a seat at the bar, which overlooks the kitchen because I like to see the preparation and the dynamics in the kitchen. Well-researched flavors that match the wines offered. The cavaletti with lobster mushrooms and the Gaspésie halibut were sublime.

For several years, we have been frequenting this place without ever having taken the time to share our experience. It is high time to correct this omission!
This place is simply wonderful. The staff is not only very kind, but also professional and always smiling. Each visit is a new discovery thanks to an original menu full of surprises. The two rooms are pleasant and decorated with great taste.
With each dinner spent here, we give ourselves a real gift. Val-David is really lucky to have this gem on its territory.

Delicious dishes, very good service... but very small portions and "very" steep bill. If I would advise? No.

Very long, Too long! 30 min wait, not a basket of bread or anything. Additional note from the waitress if I ask for a snack.
Very good, good, not bad, 3.4 variations of dishes. But really way too expensive for these portions.
I made myself a sandwich when I got home. This is not normal at $150.

Wonderful creative food, excellent attentive service and a sophisticated country atmosphere. Perfect for foodies and wine lovers. We try to make a point of visiting whenever we are in the area.

2nd visit.Portions too small despite the fact that it is a tasting. unfortunately the wine pairing was not impressive. in addition the waiter did not know the wines offered well. Did not master his subject. Very rustic atmosphere (plywood floors). Especially be careful not to sit near the fridge in the glass roof…. He's noisy! For a couple: $340+service.!Unfortunately our experience this evening does not encourage us to return. it’s sad but from now on we will favor hoogan and beaufort!!!(Sorry!)

My awareness of encouraging restaurateurs pushes me to moderate my comments and my rating.Satisfactory culinary research but the price is too high compared to my expectations in terms of experience. $400 to share 4 courses for 2 including carrot cake dessert. Some wines are quite good, other means less so.The room is OK but we are not in “high-end gourmet NYC, Montreal” standards. This remains a fairly good quality option in the region for those who have a significant budget to spend on restaurant outings.
