“De passage pour quelques jours à Val d’or et nous sommes allés faire un tour sur la terrasse ce soir. Que du positif! Le staff est super! L’ambiance est parfaite. La bouffe est excellente! Et, nous étions de passage avec notre chien et nous avons apprécié l’expérience! C’était sa première terrasse et tout le monde était génial!”

“We came on a whim for late lunch. The food was beyond fantastic, the presentation was beautiful and the flavours and cooking brilliant. The goat cheese salad was a work of art and they elevated fish and chips to a national treasure. The pistachio creme brulee was the best ive had on 3 continents and 32 years. By all means go! Its not inexpensive but you still get more than you pay for”

“I came twice in the same week with my family. The first time was incredible. I ordered a pasta dish (some kind of penne carbonara thing) The server (whose name I forgot, I'm sorry) was very funny, accommodating and great. I wish I knew his name to shout him out here. Incredible energy, care and service.The second time I came, I ordered a chicken ceaser salad and I was dissatisfied. The chicken tasted cold - like it was freezer chicken or something, some of the lettuce was a bit rotten, there was hardly any sauce and there was no cheese on it. My sister whispered to me that I had to ask for cheese myself but doesn't a chicken ceaser salad usually come with that? I never ordered a chicken ceaser salad that did not come with cheese. I did not say anything - I admit that I was a bit salty.Other than that, our server was nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was a bit loud due to some type of party happening at the table behind us but that is expected because we are in a public setting.

Kid-friendliness: They give kids a table setting that has the kids menu on it with a portion for them to do activities and colour. They also provide crayons. It keeps them busy while the adults babble amongst themselves. :)”

The ambiance of the restaurant was very welcoming, with elegant decor and soothing background music. The staff were extremely attentive, funny, and friendly, which really added to my enjoyment. He took the time to speak with us at the end of our meal and to advise us throughout our service. Real love! I highly recommend Le Canon to anyone looking for a top quality dining experience. “I was there last year and the service was slow but I think the poor guy was alone to serve + take the bills to make people pay. I didn't see a great waiter on the floor... But the pizza had a taste that I had been looking for for a long time. It was delicious! From my tastes I loved it in any case...I will go back even if it takes time to be served just to taste the pizza again. ..and then for dessert there is a creamery right next door... they also have dessert but they had a long way to go and couldn't wait much longer....”

“I ordered a couple of small pizzas after a long drive from Sudbury to Val D'or for work and they were great.

It was my first time in Quebec in about 25yrs, so my French was extremely rusty, but the gentleman who served me spoke English and had no problem helping me out with my order.

Super quick service, and I appreciate them putting up with my lack of French LOL.

I recommend trying this place out - they have some great deals!”
