Service was excellent and the portions were pretty decent; great quality/price. They only open from 5-8pm. Went on a Friday night and they only take reservation on that day starting from 3 pm.
This place is a little gem and was on our bucket list for a while. It is owned by a senior Japanese couple, that is the main reason why seats are limited and reservations/walk-in are turned away after 7:00pm. The food was delicious, fresh and tasted exactly like original Japanese cuisine. The Nigiri set was ? The service was excellent. Highly recommended
Amazing second experience here. I love the couple and the food they serve. Everything was great.
Really cute spot for authentic Japanese food. Sushi was fresh and delish. Make sure to make a reservation ahead.
You have to try the Maple maki! Consisting of salmon and unagi (bbq eel), simply the best of both worlds!
A cute little restaurant with authentic vibe and setting, the food is simple but great quality.Love to have this restaurant nearby, definitely going back
NOT child-friendly ??? but great food ?Surprisingly, the restaurant does not have either booster or high chairs. However, they do have low hanging art. All this makes visits with small children very undesirable. The food is great indeed. But the next time, we will order a takeout rather than dining in.
We came in 30 minutes before their kitchen closed and they graciously accepted us and served us so well. Sushi was better than most sushi places around Wellington - highly recommend that you go try it out.We ordered 32 piece combo chef choice platter and i can put it one way: Most exciting combo platter i’ve ordered.
The very best sushi in Verdun. The mom & pop that work there are an absolute delight. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in each bite. I was told that Aka-Fuji translates to "the red (light) of mount Fuji" like sunrise? Beautiful. Just like the resto itself.
it's just a really good place to eat. pricing is reasonable for sushi - not cheap but not crazy expensive. we only found out that you could only order food over the phone when we got there (because of the pandemic), so it was pretty amusing to call them and order while standing on the sidewalk outside, but it wasn't a problem.

Simply best sushi in Montreal.9 years now - haven't found anything better. We always return to Aka Fuji like: home, sweet home ❤️
I don’t usually do this but this was a horrible!Wanted to try that after all the good reviews and we got served the worst meal I’ve had in Montreal. In short, the man/husband that took my order was not helpful and super rude! Then I managed to order several maki and shashimi for over $100. We received stinky discoloured tuna, salmon and some tired looking flavourless makis.I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone
Adorable little sushi shop. The people who run this place are very nice and welcoming. The food is also delicious
Fantastic Fresh Sushi!! Loved the food! Been there several times and never disappointed. It's a hidden gem
Worth the price.
