“We were looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon 3 Madames Dumplings on Wellington Street. What a fantastic discovery!
We sat on the charming shaded patio and ordered the lamb & fennel dumplings, beef & onion dumplings, and the Chef's Assortment. Since I have a sensitive stomach, we chose to have everything steamed, and it was absolutely the right choice. The dumplings were impressively large, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavour in every bite.
The meal was accompanied by wonderfully sweet pickled daikon, which was a delightful surprise, and I enjoyed a refreshing iced lemon tea that paired perfectly with the food. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The restaurant is known for its handmade dumplings and generous fillings, which certainly lived up to our experience.
To top it all off, the service was warm, welcoming, and bilingual, making the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. From the atmosphere to the food, everything was crafted to perfection for a relaxing evening meal on the patio.
If you're in Verdun and craving authentic, satisfying dumplings, this place is an absolute gem. The steamed lamb & fennel dumplings alone are worth the visit! We will definitely be back!”

“This is a great little diner-style establishment. My partner and I really enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious, especially their baked beans and fried potatoes, and portions were very generous. All their plates come with filtered coffee, beans, fruit, cretons and potatoes. Excellent value for the price! Staff was also very kind and efficient. We'll definitely be coming back.”

“First off, I have to mention how cozy the place is. Very homey vibe; you’re literally walking into an apartment, but it’s setup like a resto. It does feel a bit small, but I enjoyed that aspect. Feels a bit more.. private, I suppose.

Next up, food and service. The food was absolutely amazing! We had ordered the seafood platter to share, along with the banchan sides and a few extra appetizers (yuhkwe(beef tartar) and dakgangjeong(fried chicken)). Every bite was incredible and fresh; by the end of the meal, I was soo stuffed, but I still wanted more, hahah.

Service itself was great! Servers were attentive, and explained the menu clearly. We barely had to ask any questions. Although, we did have a slight timing issue with the food.. but that was easily resolved. Everything made it to our table in the end, and satisfaction was achieved!

Parking is quite challenging to find however, the metro station d l'eglise is from walking distance. I recommend making a reservation for your next visit.”

“This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.”

Imagine a busy environment and she still manages to make drinks for customers and engages with you. That's what every bar should be. Kitchen closes at 10 but expresso martini and pesco sour were delicious. Hope they take my recommendation to change the bar name to Verdun Rouge to match the vibe and color 😉”

“I ordered a Pho soup for take out. Very good and fresh, generous portion, the shrimps are good and tasty. I only took something for take out and the place was full but still the waiter was kind, it only took a few minutes to get my order. I’ll go back to eat there!”
