“Have loved it. We've ordered from here a couple of times but off late have started to dine in as well. Better that way actually. Have always loved their Basil Fried Rice with Tofu (no egg). Although last time it was a bit low on temperature. But the chilli hotness was spot on. The portion is very good. Decent parking space which will be mostly available. It's a shared parking with the plaza. Staff is friendly.“
“Went to Chef Tang for our Chinese cuisine weekend cravings. Their dumplings are simply divine, bursting with flavor and the right amount of saltiness that doesn’t overwhelm. Our orders were prepared promptly and steaming when they served the food and they were all freshly cooked.I was hoping to find more soup selection in the menu but what we ordered (hot and sour soup) was equally delicious. It was perfect for the wintry weather.Fair price for the quality and quantity of food and of course I have to specially mention that their staff is very attentive and friendly. ??The tables and utensils are clean, the ambiance is inviting too. This Chinese gem is a must-visit for dumpling and soup lovers alike. We’ll try their other dishes next time.Kid-friendliness: They can accommodate little kids, high chairs are available. Though there may be a limited space for kids to stretch around.“
“The vegan duck is scarily reminiscent of the real thing. The texture is perfect, browned and chewy skin, tender and juicy inside. It isn’t quite as fatty as real duck, but it is close. The bed of spinach it lays on was the most delicious spinach I have ever had. There is a little garnish of cabbage too. But order another side and maybe rice to fill out your meal. The cucumber salad was ok, tasty but not as flavorful as I was hoping. I also got sticky rice, which came in the tiniest takeout box I have ever seen, which was perfect for one person.“
“Tiny, hole-in-the-wall place on Notre Dame Street, this restaurant nevertheless offers delectable fares packed with flavour. Whether you go for the ever popular Phad Thai or lesser-known dishes such as the Massaman curry, if you are a fan of Thai food with its blend of subtle blend of spices and herbs, you will come out sated and happy. As mentioned, this place is very small so if you want to eat in at lunch time, be ready to sit in cosy proximity to the neighboring patrons. However, the place quiets down later in the afternoon especially on weekdays. The service is very friendly and fairly fast.“
“Restaurant Siam has become a must go to destination whenever I travel to Montreal. I love the bold and innovative flavors of the food and that they will add the heat upon request. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Love the patio and outdoor bar as well. If you enjoy Thai, you need to eat here.“
“Really good food, good service, food arrived quickly too. The drinks were delicious too. Original and tasty. The look and decor is awesome. The only thing I can say against is that the music is way too loud for me. But everything else is over the top.“
“Good neighborhood restaurant in the "fast food, but restaurant and it's good" style. Good value for money and the pad thai was very tasty and quite filling (for me). Ultra fast service, we were served in 5 or 10 minutes max (a Sunday at 3 p.m.).There are quite a few people in the evening, you may have to wait 15-20 minutes outside. At lunchtime it will surely be busy too.I tested in the evening and there wasn't too much of a wait, we may have been lucky. We had a pad thai, pad kaprao and a mango sticky rice. Favorite for the pad kaprao ❤️ For the mango sticky rice, the rice was good but not the mango unfortunately.“
“The best restaurant the South Shore has to offer. Michelin quality service, very tasty food and pleasant atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have the best dining experience of their lives. All you can eat tasting menu $50 (money well spent!)“
“Super nice experience, the staff is really friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, the service is excellent and the food is incredible. The flavors are present, the dishes are well prepared. While eating I felt nostalgic for my trip to Thailand. I highly recommend this place.“
“HALAL Thai food??? Yes please! I was soo happy when I stumbled upon this delicious restaurant. It’s very rare to find a halal asian place here in Montreal and let me tell you they deliver true authentic Thai cuisine. The flavours and the options are varied and tasty. You won’t be disappointed! I 110% recommend this place :)“
“Quality and generous dishes! Have a cost which may be higher than other restaurants but which is well worth it in terms of quality and quantity!Note however on the service where we really had the feeling of being disturbed even though we were at the start of the week and with only one other table occupied...What a shame“
“The « tasting menu » isn’t on the menu but be sure to ask if they offer it that night! You will not regret it if you do, we were so full and for $65 /per person it was an incredible deal. Truly an amazing experience between all the balance of Thai flavours. The only place that I could say is better than my mom’s ?“
“So I’m gettin over a mild flue and needing to get some nutrients in me and so I look up soup on maps and I the first review I read says “best soup ever”, so I roll the diced go there and order some broth. It was the best damn broth ever and the guy working there is super nice. I go to pay and he says it’s on him and got that tasty broth for free. Im happy I love so close bc I will frequent this place at least once per week… enjoy!“
“Found this place on instagram and my wife and I went for an early dinner and was not disappointed in what we ate. The sushi is so fresh and really well made and so very tasty! Ken welcomed us in and took care of us and we couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend Coba Sushi and will surely be back!!!Thanks for the amazing dinner experience!!“
“Great discovery of this little neighborhood restaurant. ??The food was delicious; I tasted the wonton soup, the imperial roll, the general tao chicken with a very unique homemade sauce in terms of flavors and finally, the fried banana. The portions were just perfect for getting full without feeling too full. The value for money is truly wow!We also appreciated the warm and welcoming service. Thank you for this first experience, we will definitely come back!“
“The dishes are very good and fresh. I ate a seafood chow mein and the plate was generous. The heating did not work and it was quite cold in the (temporary) room. People who come for “Take out” disturb the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a small cafeteria style restaurant. The trip is worth it. This is not a BYOB.“
“Un régal ! Aussi bien sur place qu’en livraison, les saveurs nous emportent ! C’est épicé, juste comme il faut à mon goût. Nous avons pris le spécial végétarien du moment et le krapow beyond meat, les deux étaient excellents ! J’ai pu tester un soir sur place, la serveuse était très attentionnée et agréable. Merci !“
“My favourite Thai restaurant in Montreal!?Crispy Pork Belly With EggCrispy pork belly, fresh chilies, and asian kale.I wish the portion is bigger because it's so delicious.?Stir Fry With Thai Holy Basil And EggGround pork, long beans, Thai basil, and red chilies. I love mixing the egg yolk with rice to make it tastier. My all time favourite Mae Sri dish!?Thai Iced Coffee With Condensed MilkGet obsessed with condensed milk in all drinks.“
“The team is excellent. They are extremely nice and fun. They have great recommendations. The only issue we had was the very long delays to get our order. The food itself was extremely good. Everything was very tasty and well prepared. I will definitely be going back. Everything we ordered was delicious and freshly prepared.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options availableParking: Parking is available on the street“
“A terrace for the summer months is beautiful. Sangrias are delicious. Food has not disappointed time and time again.Definitely recommend. They brought a cake for the birthday boy as well. Friendly staff. EnjoyWheelchair accessibility: Elevator access to the second floor. No stairs to the dinning area. Enough space in-between tables to wheel-in.“
“I've never had Thai food so I can't rate it properly, but the food I have eaten here is ALWAYS good. Love the shrimp & calamari! The service is on par for the area. The atmosphere is unique but needs a good once over.Parking: Next to an "under construction" Italian place so there has been plenty of parking for the past 2 years.“
“This place really impressed me the food is served with fresh ingredients and authenticity. Each seasoning is served in their dishes with a perfect balance of hot spice, flavourful burst of special blend of Cambodian and Thailand. Tum Yum is one of the best in Montreal if not the best!“
“The food here doesn't have a commercial taste, it tastes like it's coming out of your mother's kitchen. My wife's family is from Cambodia and Tuktuk's food tastes like my in-law's cooking. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Thai and Cambodian food this is the place to go. You should definitely try the Pad See Ew, the Amok is fantastic, the mango salad has a fresh taste, the Imperial rolls are generous with pork, and the desert is a very typical Cambodian dish. 5/5 will order from here again.“
“Excellent general tao.. de loin le meilleur que j'ai mangé ! Très bon service. Commandez directement auprès du restaurant, le service sera meilleur que celui des applications et en plus on vous offre un rouleau impérial et le monsieur au téléphone est vraiment très gentil et serviable. Je recommande vraiment ! Belle découverte :)“
“Great discovery of this little Thai restaurant. The chicken and peanut red curry was very good and tasty. The dish alone was $21. The products were fresh and the sauce excellent. Bread or something else for sauce would have been a must. The waitress is adorable.“
“Cash only; smaller quantity. Super prompt serving speed. I ordered the coconut soup with rice, recommended by the server, the ingredients are very fresh and healthy (peppers, eggplants & small shrimps). A little spicy or the seasoning added afterwards taste that requires to drink a lot of water. Very clean restaurant. Friendly service.“
“Overall, I enjoyed the meal, service and quaint atmosphere.the pad-krachai I found a little salty for my liking ( could have had more green peppercorns, and maybe a different veggie to sweet peppers).the mango fruit was ripe but tangy. unfortunately, not a thai mango. All things considered, it was all right though (prices I found to be on the expensive side).“
“Came here for the first time on Valentine’s Day and the owner/chef kyrin was super attentive and ensured we had a special time. We went pretty late in the evening, closer to close and we did not feel rushed at all and we were taken care of nicely. The owner gave us a dessert to share at the end which made the night extra special. Thanks so much again.“
“My husband and I stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night after a long day. We were so impressed by every aspect of our experience here, especially the service. I ordered La Boeuf L'Orange and my husband had Poulet General Tao aux legumes. Our food was hot and delicious. We also ordered two Beignets for dessert, one banana and one apple. The ice cream was so delicious with a nice lingering aftertaste. The Beignets were hot and crispy. This was an amazing birthday treat for dinner! Highly recommend.“
“We’re so happy we can stop searching for a great Thai place, as we’ve found it with Pamika! The restaurant is laid out and decorated beautifully with a uniquely shaped bar (with actual comfortable seating at it….so don’t hesitate if the only seats are at the bar), gorgeous lighting, and rich plum and burgundy colors. While the weather is still wonderful, you can take advantage of outdoor seating in front and behind the restaurant. We were greeted by three smiling faces as we walked in, which was very welcoming. Our server was working on learning learning English, so she mostly spoke in French, but was so kind and efficient, and provided us with great, attentive service. The food was fresh, made with quality ingredients, cooked with skill, given attention to aesthetics (some with an especially nice wow-factor), and just a couple disappointments. We started with the crab stick, which was literally as it sounds: One skinny fried in wrapper long stick. It was fried to perfection and the sauce a yummy balance of sweet and spicy, but something extra delicious with a good mouthfeel (maybe a good quality honey?) The downside was that it was so slender and tight, there wasn’t enough filling in it to distinguish that it was, in fact, crab. The crispy shrimp had a cool presentation: five large shrimps wooden skewered, wrapped in noodles, and deep fried. Unique! They were plated skewer side up, neatly tied in a bow, and served with the same sweet and spicy sauce. The salmon tartare had a wow-presentation as well and it was spooned into a half of a fresh coconut and an artful display of edible flowers surrounding it. Sitting shotgun was a plate of crispy shrimp chips that were a perfect vessel to scoop of the fresh, lemon grassy, and vibrant tartare. My favourite dish was the duck salad. The duck had a good, meaty texture and savoury flavour and the salad was balanced well with lemongrass, mint, and Thai basil. The peppers jn here are spicccccy, and I loved it, but, be warned if you bite into them and are not a fan of your food biting you back! The pad Thai was very solid (I prefer a little more green onions and peanuts), but delicious nonetheless. The flop was the Galloping Horse! This was supposed to be a pork and shrimp meatball served on a slice of clementine orange and pineapple. It was a disaster…although looked really cute. The meat was a dry flavourless tiny ball (so many good Thai things could have been brought to these to make it juicy and pop with taste). The thin clementine slice was fine, but the dried pineapple was more like jerky. You had to fight to bite through it, so there’s no way one could even bite through the yuck of a meatball, orange, and through the pineapple tire. (I will say, I did later eat the pineapple on its own…had to fight and tug a bit….and it was tasty by itself and would make a good snack while watching a movie as you can’t eat it quickly). My husband had the Tom yum soup and enjoyed it (although the broth was less flavoured or spicy than desired and expected). It had a beautiful prevention of fresh, colourful veggies and perfectly cooked shrimps. The broth was served on the side to add as you like. Overall, we left saying to each other several times how delicious most everything was, beautiful the place was, friendly the service was, and how we are looking forward to trying new items….and reordering some of our favourites of the night. I love a restaurant that obviously cares about there place and puts effort into the experience for the customer!“
“In the University of Sherbrooke at the Longueuil metro station. Food court. Plenty of seating space. Little treasure, fast food and service. I love stopping there for dinner. Plus, it's just a few steps from my house. Several combinations possible in the menu. Chicken, beef, shrimp and others. I love their fried ravioli. Try the Beef Pad See Ew, my favorite on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Choice of degree of intensity for the spicy side or not at all.Wheelchair accessibility: The university is suitable for wheelchairs so access to the restaurant too“
“Super petit resto de quartier de Ville St-Laurent. Les saveurs des plats et la gentillesse de l’hôtesse nous ont charmés. Les soupes sont délicieuses. Le thé est servi sans frais, ce qui est très apprécié. Les prix incluent les taxes. N’oubliez pas votre argent comptant. Nous y retournerons encore et encore.“
“This place, like any other place downtown, could have taken a "one-time customer" approach and treat you like a one-time deal!!! Right? No!!! Unlike what one would expect ... here, you are treated like family! You will feel right at home, in your preferred diner in your hood, being in your element, and having a good time!It blew my mind to see, feel, AND taste the difference on my debut visit today, and I'm already planning more visits. This place is one of the best kept secrets in town.To spell it out, the food was fresh, outstandingly presented, and authentic. The service ... like I said, the crew made me and my guest feel like family ... everything felt special. The atmosphere, nice and inviting. It's like sitting in a hidden spot and watching the life happen right outside the window ... what else is there to say!Kudos to the crew, the chef, and the mastermind behind all this.“
“Beautiful interior and a big terrace for when it's nice outside. A good amount of vegetarian options. My favourite dish is the Thai red curry, delicious.2024 Update: New favourite dish, is the peanut butter tofu.Vegetarian options: Pad Thai, curry and peanut butter tofu“
“J'adore ce restaurant pour sa nourriture. La nourriture est toujours excellente, et le prix très raisonnable. Par contre, le service laisse vraiment à désirer (nous attendons souvent plus de 20 mins avant qu'une serveuse vienne nous voir; on nous demande jamais si le plat est à notre gout; nous devons demander pour plus d'eau et j'en passe)“
“I've gone to several Sushi Shops over the years (in Toronto and now Montreal). I always got the Blossom Volcano roll; it's torch-seared salmon and made with soy sheet instead of seaweed...yum! I didn't think it was necessary to leave a 5-star review until now.A special shout out to the manager, Leo, who had done everything in his power to ensure that my purse (that I had mistakenly left behind in store), was returned back to me and in it's proper state. My faith in humanity has been restored thanks to you!“
“I went for supper to this restaurant which has a new administration. I was also on two occasions looking for meals to bring. The service was excellent and the quality of the meal too. The employees are courteous and the service is quick. So congratulations to you“
“Arrived at 9pm and still a lot of customers. It’s a popular restaurant but not our taste. They don’t serve soup noodles here. We ordered combo, my chicken plate is ok cause the vermicelli is soaked by the soup. My husband’s beef plate is not that good, the vermicelli is so tasteless. The vegetable soup and the spring roll are good though.“
“It is always very good here. While the place is clean, you don't go there for how it looks inside, but for the delicious food. I go there to eat on site or order take-out. I've brought family & friends there and they've always left satisfied and with the desire to go back.“
“The best Chinese take out in the district. Won ton soup is yummy. Dinner no. 5 is our favorite. Friendly and helpful. They helped me carry my order to the car. The place has been in existence for many years and it is very unassuming in appearance from the street, but the quality of the food is very good.“
“Second time coming here and the food is as delicious. They have a lot of choices and everything is tasty. Their wonton soup is very good and so is the chicken with peanut butter and spinash ? kind and attentive service. I will definitely be coming more often. Took some spicy things and they were actually spicy but super good ?“
“Never thought the food would be so delicious! After hearing how good it is from friends, we decided to give it a try, and so impressed. Had the mango salad along with a few plates, such as pad sew, cashew chicken, and it's so yummy. Can't wait to go back. They had nice music place was spotless, and it is very cozy. Thumbs up!!“
“We had the veggies and tofu cashew stir fry (vegan option) for our lunch during our day in Montreal and we found the food absolutely flavourful and tasty and had good volume. The place is in a food court of a mall and it was very clean and well maintained with not too many people around. The staff were very friendly and helpful to our requests. We even came back to get a takeaway portion which was packed really well by him for our flight. Will definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Tasty food and the chef/staff are very accommodating to our request for vegan options“
“When bangkok express opened the quality and taste of all the dishes was great. The restaurant changed hands and both the tastes of the dishes and quality of the chicken and beef went down. The original owners are back! We had a red curry chicken which was beautifully flavored. The chicken was tender and the portion generous. We shared a large pad sew with beef which was also delicious. So happy to have the restaurant back as it was.“
“I ordered twice and each time was a delightful experience. The packaging was excellent, ensuring the food arrived hot and fresh. The portions were generous, and my order of general Thairacha, Tom yum soup, and fried dumplings was delicious.I highly recommend trying their hot sauce – it adds the perfect kick to the already fantastic flavors!“
“Le Pad Thaï est vraiment délicieux, que dire du général tao??? croustillant, pas trop piquant, un vrai régal! Les egg rolls bien croustillant et très bon, la soupe won ton authentique et délicieuse. Un excellent resto asiatique, bien meilleur qu'un buffet!!!“
“This is the BEST Thai express I have ever been too in Montreal. The staff is extremely nice and the service is AMAZING. The food left me speechless for how good it was. If your ever in the downtown area the first thing you should think of is making a trip to this Thai express because you will surely not regret it. Thank you again to the owner for being so kind and I will be back again soon. You have earned a very happy and loyal customer. See you soon!“
“Tasted awsome. Super yummy rice. Good quantity of food for the prices. My only deception food wise, the soo guy chicken we order was a bit to dry. Definitely will be ordering from this place again. One thing tho as you might have read in other review, we also had our delivery guy complain about the tip.“
“I was the only customer in this restaurant on a Thursday night. I wonder why, the food is absolutely delicious. The place is cozy although the waiting line feels a bit like a cafeteria. The cheap price and food quality however make up for it. I recommend trying this restaurant if you're in the neighborhood.“
“This is my fiancé’s favourite place to go for Thai. He loves their duck. He’s never had a better meal. He will literally go there just to eat the duck! The food otherwise is fresh and flavourful. The staff working there are kind and very knowledgeable of their menu. The atmosphere is calm and clean. Great for families of date night. They also have a terrace and nice bar for drinks. It can be pricey though if you want to try the full range of menu options in one go- which we recommend you do!“
