“Thai food that comes default spicy!!!! Lots of herbs just as I was hoping for. Our group of friends greatly enjoyed our meal from beginning to end! My husband enjoyed the draft beer. The dessert ---- shaved ice!!!! Soft and pillowy, with lots of fruit and flavours! It just melts in your mouth. The dessert can be shared by 4 people ... or 2 if you love dessert like me.“

“One of my personal hidden gems in Montreal. It is in the heart of the little Italy which is a perfect area for a nice little date or soft evening. The menu is simple. You cannot go there and expect it to have a long list of things. They curate the menu every now and so, only keeping the best sellers on the constant. Personally, the pad thai and the wings are just my must haves.

The atmosphere is also a 10/10. It makes you feel like you’ve traveled when you didn’t. Perfect to eat alone or accompanied. To be honest it’s never bothered to go on my own to enjoy a meal of my own company. I’d say if you’re a bigger group, do expect a little wait, or come early.

Service at times is a give or take. But usually pretty good so a 4 for me.

“Best experience I’ve had with a big group.

We had a perfect meal at Cup MTL celebrating our dear friend’s fast approaching marriage. Despite a group of 15, we were treated to excellent service by way of our wonderful server Rose - she was the best. The food, of course, was the highlight of our experience. We ordered a wide array of courses, all of which were met by the best of reviews from our group. For me personally, the pork belly Thai pad was some of the best I had. And some of our group who had been to Thailand claimed this was some of the best Thai food they had had. Thank you to the chef of the evening, Ying, for a special meal. We will be back, we will be sending our friends here, and we will be telling everyone we know about this place. Cannot recommend enough.“

“I was on vacation to Montreal & I need to eat something real fast, something healthy too. This was just nooked perfectly around the corner of my hotel, but I had never had anything from here, not even from my home state. The rep was so kind in explain the menu to me (in English, might I add) as my French is pitiable! I got the healthy option of soup instead, & even got a free samosa. I came back next day, you bet! Not for the samosa, but for the service & delicious food!“

“My friend and I have been going to this Thai Express on Wednesday nights after Church for a while. Sometimes we arrive almost at closing but we are always served kindly by a man named Akash. He always makes our food with much care and is very generous with the portions! Never had a bad experience! The General Tao is great and also the vegetarian options are great also!“

“Thai Express is a franchise and I always expect the same quality no matter where I go in Canada.
That sadly is NOT the case.
This was driven home to me when I was fortunate enough to be in my old neighbourhood in Montreal today- at the Alexis Neon Plaza- in the food court (which can be quite enjoyable, most especially if you take your food out under the vast sun roof, where there is plenty of light and space and right now fun festive holiday lights)

The food at the Alexis Neon’s Thai Express puts all others in the dust.
Fresh, not over sauced with a variety of veges, not just green peppers and onions.
They take the time to inquire about dietary concerns(I’m a gluten sensitive) in addition to the friendly relaxed service.
It feels “homey” in a food court.
Imagine that.

It hasn’t changed in quality since we left that neighbourhood in 2018. And I mean it when I say, I go to that Franchise every where I work out of town and in Montreal expecting the same quality. I am however, always disappointed.
Today did not disappoint. Yummy!
Great to be back.
