“Reservation on a Friday, evening 6:00 p.m. We were able to get a place on the terrace but only 1 table remained available.
Not seeing the menu in advance I didn't really know what to expect but pleasantly surprised I hesitated between several dishes. Some were generous but others found them a little too small (for example the bourgots). Otherwise the service was excellent and fast, beautiful terrace. Great beer/wine too. We liked all our dishes but it remains a menu to taste and discover flavors. So perfect for a glass of wine and plan 2-3 dishes per person“

“This place 100% used to be an old Asian restaurant I’m betting Vietnamese like you can just tell based on the layout like I can just imagine a 12 year old doing math homework behind the counter taking my order and about to bring me the best pho I’ve ever had in my life. It feels almost like a liminal space and I’m not mad about it. Coconut bacon is something I never thought I’d enjoy but they managed to do it. Portion sizes are huge which is hard to come by in canada

Quand j’ai signalé le problème, une des commis m’a passé un rouleau de papier pour que je nettoie le tout moi-même. Elle m’a offert de remplacer le pogo, ce que j’ai décliné. “I’ve been here twice and every time, it never fails. The fried chicken and tataki are guaranteed crowd favourites. The service is generally pretty great too. It’s a tight spot so you’re close to the other tables. And as a tall person, when we were in a booth another time, it was very tight (not for tall people aha). The brownie was interesting and I would not order again.“

All with the best customer service skills as well. As for my server Tanya. Man was she ever knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Certainly made my first visit to Montreal start off on the right foot. Let’s not forget the food. When in Rome you know…. So yes, I started my adventure with a Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich and a sour pickle with slaw and fries. Take a very good look at that sandwich in the picture. Looks massive and delicious right? How about incredibly good tasting and extremely filling as well. You know the one in the picture…. Yeah that’s the regular size. Take another look, that’s regular. There’s one bigger! Why? lol!!! My goodness what a fantastic place, best food and amazing staff. “We got the cassava sticks, guasacaca chicken plate, black beans and plantain arepa, and guasacaca arepa. The guasacaca sauce is really delicious and addictive! Really good portion sizes. The fried plantains were amazing! The air conditioning was so cold and perfect!!!

Vegetarian options: They have quite a few vegetarian and vegan options of the arepas which is great. The vegan options we tried didn’t feel like you were missing out on richness or flavour.

We saw people showing up with rewards cards and thought it seemed like some sort of ice cream cult with how many people seemed to be obsessed with it. “My friends celebrated their birthday here, and it was a very good experience!
The food arrived quickly, the service was nice, our reserved tables were far enough from the other customers that we could be a little loud without bothering them, and the ambient music was just loud enough to properly accompany our conversations.
Price wise, it's very affordable and worth every dollar. I ordered some dumplings and they were absolutely delicious. I even tried my first sake and that was very fun.
All in all, I will definitely come back here to try out more of their menu.

“I went here when visiting Montreal as I was looking for a restaurant with great Poutine options. This place more than met expectations at least four pages of their menu were different combinations of Poutine and it was absolutely delicious and authentic what was ordered. I’m an American and I don’t speak French but this place like everywhere else in Montreal had fully bilingual staff in French and English. The price was reasonable, the taste was authentic, the portions were well sized, and it was definitely a taste one expects when in Montreal.“
