“Best value to price food near JGH. The size of onigiri is enough to fill you up. Flavours are definitely more skewed to Canadian palate, with some more “traditional” Japanese leaning choices. But definitelt gets the onigiri craving satisfied, and I’m glad we have a place like this in the neighborhood! I would make this my go to if I lived or worked in the area for satisfying quick bites.

Also, the post it “graffiti” on the wall is such a nice reflection of our city’s diversity.“

“I went for dinner with my boyfriend, Friday night. I suggested to make a reservation because we just found the place, we walked in, waited and had a table. The food it’s good, but if you are looking for truly Japanese I don’t think this is the place, the interior design it’s beautiful but the ambiance not so much, the music was super loud and barely can hear my boyfriend. I don’t know if in the afternoon the ambience it’s better. Also one of our server had zero acknowledgement of drinks or food, we asked for an amaro at the end of the meal and he had no idea what that was and that is not the problem, the thing is that he didn’t even kind to ask the bartender“

Royal Sushi is an essential address for sushi lovers, and has been for more than 10-15 years. I ordered there a good hundred times when I lived nearby, and their consistency in quality always impressed me. It is a place that has managed to retain its customers thanks to its authenticity and know-how.

The establishment is run by an incredibly friendly couple, who recognize you even after several years. Their kindness and attention to their customers makes all the difference and makes each visit or order even more pleasant. It's rare to find this level of service, especially in a neighborhood where there's no shortage of restaurants.

The sushi is always fresh, well prepared, and the value for money is really excellent. Whether for a take-out order or a meal on site, you are sure to enjoy yourself without breaking the bank. Honestly, Royal Sushi remains my absolute favorite. A place to discover and adopt without hesitation“

We tried Otto Yakitori and also had the Otto ramen. The ramen was definitely the highlight—very flavourful, with delicious noodles and a satisfying broth. The yakitori, including the shrimp and scallops, was okay but didn’t stand out as much. Overall, a decent meal, with the ramen being our favourite.“

“I've been going here for the past 5 years, and their food has always been consistent and of great quality. I only ever did take out as they offer free delivery up to 6km radius over $35, but it always arrives quickly and fresh. They give you very generous, thick portions of fish, and they don't pack their sushi with dense rice like other places. Definitely the best sushi in the area.“
