A satisfying Japanese restaurant with a great lunch menu. Lunch includes miso soup, a mini salad, and desert (one scoop of icecream) along with the main meal. There is limited seating so it is better to make reservations. When you enter, there is a coatrack available to put away your winter coats during the winter. There is additionally a counter along the kitchen wall that is great for solo seaters. Service was fine; a touch slow but they were really busy.
A very disappointing lunch. The food took almost an hour, which would have been fine, but it just hasn’t anything special. The salad and miso soup were very sad. We had the eel and one of the mixed boxes with tempura. The eel was very good, and the rice was very good, but everything else was just... underwhelming. I’m 5’4 and 115lbs, and I left feeling hungry. It definitely wasn’t worth $25 per person.
