The food is SO good. What a great sushi place to have in the area. The flavors are infused and the fish is fresh. HIGHLY recommend the torched salmon plate

Aji Bar Sushi & Izakaya MTL offers a great time with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. The space is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff and quick service. The owner and chef are very kind and funny, making the visit especially enjoyable. The sushi tacos are unreal, with a crispy nori shell that is very well executed and a rich, smooth filling. The salmon and tuna tacos are satisfying, though some might prefer a bit more spicy sauce in the tuna and a crispy ingredient in the salmon. The sushi is delicious, and the rice and quality of the fish are impressive, especially the variety of nigiri/sashimi offered. The hamachi was a bit too cold, but all other fish was exceptional. Prices are really reasonable for the quality, with one meal coming out to $19 before taxes and tip, which is much cheaper than other options. The music is always relaxing, and the ambiance inside is lovely, especially with a window seat for people watching. One minor wish is for soy sauce in a real bowl instead of a plastic container. Overall, this place is highly recommended for an evening as a couple or alone.
