“I had the flank beef pho and chicken imperial rolls and they were both delicious. I appreciated that the pho didn't taste like it was loaded with sodium. I took the small size of the pho and it was quite filling. I didn't have to wait long for the food. The restaurant is quite small and can fit only three tables but makes for a more intimate setup. I didn't see any restrooms.“

But when I pick up japanese food that's supposed to have a 42 $ value, I expect to get japanese food, and I expect a 42$ value. 2 chicken broth soups with dumplings, and 2 bowls of rice with curry sauce and small frozen eggrolls aren't japanese ( except for the curry sauce ... ) and aren't a value of 42$. I feel cheated.“

“Holy moly the pulled noodles here are so good. I know it's far from the popular areas to dine in Montreal but you won't be disappointed. Prices were reasonable, friendly staff and amazing food. Also had sushi while my wife had a poke bowl. Everyone was extremely happy with what they got.

“We had the won ton soup, beef chow mein and shrimp tom yum soup and egg rolls.

Gf thought the tom yum was okay. Egg rolls are standard lettuce filling. Won ton soup was great and chow mein satisfying even if it’s not the best I’ve had.

“Very cozy place with a few tables, but it’s clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and always smiling. We ordered the udon sauté and the Dandan mein noodles , both were very tasty and the portions were generous. Definitely recommended if you’re craving good fast Asian food!“

When I searched up “Korean food in Montreal” during my intense craving for warm, comforting, asian food in a new city, this place popped up on multiple lists, recommendations, and Google Maps. After a long day and a light stroll through Old Montreal, I finally had the chance to(and was determined to) come here on Friday evening. I was kind of concerned that I wasn’t going to get in because 1) I’ve had multiple occasions of restaurants turning me away well before their closing time in Montreal (Which is still a mystery I’m) trying to solve 🤣😅, and 2) Well, it’s Friday night! Luckily, I was able to get in after a short 5-minute wait, and although I was a lone wolf and would be perfectly content with being tucked away in the corner with a small table to myself, the (who I later found out to be) Owner ended up seating me in a big table by myself- felt kind of guilty, but also so kind!

The drinks and the food came out very quickly, I wont touch on the beer, because beer is beer lol, but the Spicy Pork Grill….first of all, the HUGE portion that only came out to $21?! In this economy? Secondly, the intense sizzling sound as the dish came out of the kitchen was enough to claim its #1 spot, but above all - the rich marinade without being too salty, the onions that cut through and help balance the fattiness of the pork, the perfectly cooked warm and fluffy rice…I honestly can conjure up the taste and how the dish made me feel just through writing this review. I had intended to pack 1/2 of it to go for my hotel room later, I promise, I did. I ended up walking out with a full and satisfying belly and a completely empty plate 🫣🤣

When I was paying, I chatted with the owner (well, the daughter of the owner), who told me how she used to live in Vancouver (I’m visiting from Vancouver), and just generally a bit about the history of the place. I feel such warmth and comfort from the food and hospitality - which, when you’re in a city/ place for the first time, is truly an irreplaceable feeling.

“My wife and I love this place - but we always choose flavour over ambience. This is a no-frills place. The dishes are around $15, but you'll struggle to finish. A great range of authentic Chinese dishes. My wife's favorite is the pickled cabbage and pork. Mine is the 5-spice beef soup. If you can handle chili's, they offer a chili-oil; garlic and coriander are common toppings to these dishes.“

The broth in their pho was so rich and complex that I ended up finishing every last drop, which almost never happens with me. “My family and I stopped here for Robert on our way to a movie. We had 40 minutes before show time and wanted an actual meal rather than fast food. This place did not disappoint. All four meals came straight from the stove hot to the table and it was all delicious. We ordered sweet and sour seafood, general too chicken, stir fried rice with shrimp, and a soup dish with beef and noodles. We ate it before I could get a photo, but it was beautiful too.
