“Amazing soup dumplings! We’ve tried the original pork, pork and snow crab and chicken - get the pork and snow crab!!!!!! There’s a good variety of items on the menu including vegetarian. They even have some lunch specials for Monday to Friday. Food doesn’t take too long to arrive and its so worth the wait! Come early or be prepared to wait - it’s not a very big restaurant and they’re busy.

“Really cozy and charming spot near mount royal. I discovered this place accidentally because there very little advertising. It looks like an apartment but actually a cozy restaurant. Small and quiet place with great food. The menu is nice, service is great. We had 2 plates. One steamed and one fried. The friend dumplings were better. We will be back for sure.“

“Great texture, disappointing flavor. The fresh, hand-pulled noodles are the highlight here, and I love that you can choose your own thickness. Unfortunately, the Combo 1 beef noodle soup lacked flavor and spices. The broth was too bland for my taste. Worth a visit for the noodle quality alone, but I’d recommend trying their dry/saucy dishes instead of the soups if you want a punch of flavor.“

The Classic Siomai were huge and filled with tasty sticky rice, beans and ground meat. Service and decor are rather utilitarian (although they do have some plants against the wall). Staff is very welcoming and friendly. They also take in account allergies. I ordered a menu item which the chef chooses a selection for me, the staff asked me if I had allergies to avoid giving me an item that would contain it. They also took in account the fact that I don't like seafood. This place was almost empty, which makes no sense in my opinion. Food is served hot and fresh. It’s very good. Unironically some of the best dumplings/bao I’ve had in my life and I’m not exaggerating.“

Les plats ici sont vraiment authentiques. Mon plat "nouilles de haricots en cristal" est mon préféré! Lotus bleu is my favorite restaurant in Montreal. I am Chinese. Whenever I come here to eat, I feel like home. The dishes here are really authentic. My favorite dish is Crystal bean noodles.“

“Loved the food and the prices are reasonable too. The waitress was very attentive. The food came out very quickly after ordering. The only issue was that they take payment only in cash. But there is an ATM machine inside to withdraw cash, $2 withdrawal fee so that issue is solved too.

As soon as you walk into the restuarant, there's a delicious aroma that welcomes you. We were greeted by friendly staff. I had a lot of questions about what comes with the combo and the staff was knowledgeable.

My fiance told me to get a combo because it's a good deal. The meal comes with your choice of soup (wonton or sweet and sour), plus eggroll or spring roll. It also comes with vegetables and rice. For an extra $1, you can change the white rice to noodles and I believe fried rice.

I had the shrimp combo and changed the rice for noodles. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and they were large! I think there was about 8 shrimp. The noodles were mostly soft but there was some crispy noodles too-I love all types of noodles!

The wonton broth was flavorful and the eggroll was crispy!

I'm born and raised in Vancouver and this meal reminded me of the Chinese food I loved in Vancouver. I've been living in Ottawa for 11 years and never had a decent Chinese food meal. I'm moving to Montreal soon and for sure will be coming to Fay Wong for Chinese food!“

“We had the mango salad, wonton soup, veggie dumplings, veggie spring rolls, spicy chicken, and garlic eggplant with a single serving of rice. That was enough for all four of us to be well-fed and satisfied.

The staff were also SO nice. We had a baby with us and they were all so kind and understanding.“

“Our favorite Chinatown spot for takeout. This small food counter makes the best squid skewers and spicy popcorn chicken. My kiddo loves their spicy chicken burgers. Their prices are also unbeatable. I highly recommend . Make sure to bring your appetite!“

“Some of the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Fairly priced for the quality, 45per person with lots of leftovers. Plenty of options on the menu, we went with hunan/peanut butter dumplings, spring rolls, sesame beef, Cantonese chow mein, and shrimp in lobster sauce. Quality of the shrimp was fantastic, lobster sauce was delish poured over rice and noodles. Sesame beef was so tasty large pieces with good coating that is not too thickz Everything came out piping hot and the service was extremely attentive. Will come again for sure“

“I've always seen this little shop next to c&t and we finally got curious enough to visit it. It is basically a takeout place. I highly recommend the cold noodles (liangpi). I've never had it before but it is very delicious and has a nice spice to it.

We also tried the pork bun, but it wasn't particularly amazing. They charge $3 for as is or $4 to prepare it for you on the spot (aka toast the bread and microwave the meat).

The owner can communicate with enough English to explain the menu (but probably more easily if you speak Chinese).“
