“Premier essai aujourd'hui pour deux : on a pris la soupe Pho Tai #10 et le poulet sauté à la citronnelle #33 et c'était vraiment trop bon. Le boeuf de la pho est vraiment tendre et les saveurs du #33 étaient immédiatement excellentes et au dessus de nos attentes à la première bouchée. Ils ont probablement le meilleur poulet citronnelle de Montréal, voir du Québec.“

“Been here a few times now, every time it is amazing the service is always nice and the flavours in every dish are crazy, im not much of a soup person but i will continue to return to this place because the broths that they make are so full of flavour ive never had anything so good anywhere else, the calamari as well are to die for and the prices for the portions are insanely cheap!! I dont live in montreal but the hour trip is well worth it:)“

“We just had dinner here. There was a constant stream of people waiting for a fresh banh mi or for a table. The pho broth is so fresh and flavourful. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The gentleman offered my boys freezies after our meal. I can see why they have such positive reviews.“

“Great location! Generous portion.amazing quality. Had to try multiple things all I can say I was satisfied and FULL af!! Never forget a great iced coffee yummmy!! Lol hey Great staff..friendly...clean spot..what's not to like?? ?????After I'm done eating I went grocery shopping few minutes away walk...I do not need to drive around to get somewhere else especially with a full tummy! “Ordered no 6, rare beef pho, and no 25, spicy beef noodle soup, and both were great! Service was fast and friendly and the food tasted authentic. Only thing is the restaurant is small, so it can get a little cramped with how many customers come in, but that's also a testament to how good their food is! Would definitely come again!“

“Great neighborhood restaurant. I have been passing by since I moved into the area and was not disappointed once I decided to step in.
Our meal started with the imperial rolls (cha gio) and the papaya salad (without beef). The rolls were in my opinion the star of the night; generously filled and simply delicious. These are the imperial rolls you always hope for but rarely get. The papaya salad was fresh and well dressed - not spicy as their Thai counterpart usually is.
We followed our meal with bahn xeo - a crispy Vietnamese omelette/crêpe that was filled with chicken and a generous amount of bean sprouts, and Bun Cha Hanoi. The airy and crispy texture of the crepe is addictive to say the least and very enjoyable. The grilled bun cha meat was also very tasty!
In sum, Y Lan is a great restaurant where you can be sure to enjoy a great meal with great service.

“My sister and I had the loveliest experience eating here, first of all the restaurant owner was so kind and welcoming. He made us feel at home right away :) and the food was incredible, it was so fresh and delicious. it was my sister’s first time trying poke and i don’t think she will be able to top this!!! it’s my favourite i’ve ever tried as well. “I had the flank beef pho and chicken imperial rolls and they were both delicious. I appreciated that the pho didn't taste like it was loaded with sodium. I took the small size of the pho and it was quite filling. I didn't have to wait long for the food. The restaurant is quite small and can fit only three tables but makes for a more intimate setup. I didn't see any restrooms.“

“Happened to be in the area, walked in on a whim right before closing and i am so pleasantly surprised!! I got the tofu banh mi and it is huge and delicious. “Got the #20 clay pot fish with a side of rice about 4 months ago and it was so flavorful and fragrant I still think about it quite often. Owners were friendly and helping despite barely speaking an ounce of French or English and prices were more than fair. I wish whoever runs that place the best genuinely never close this place down ever.“

“Montreal was right in the middle of our 12-day trip, and we were really craving some Asian food. Searched for pho nearby on Google Maps and found this place. Didn’t have high expectations, but it turned out to be very good — even better than a lot of restaurants back in Hong Kong! Highly recommended. The staff was super nice and friendly too. When they found out we were from HK, they even suggested some local places to check out around the area. Great experience overall!“

“Line up can get really crazy and nothing is worth hours of waiting. Especially when it goes out the door and you have to stand in the staircase going up. Parking is a little difficult to find. They specialize in a Vietnamese dish called Hu Tieu and you can have it either dry with soup on the side or noodles in the soup. It is typically simple and easy to make with lots of cheap ingredients. But if you aren't cooking this for a lot of people, this is a quick easy way to get your Hu Tieu fix. Dough fritters are really good too. If you are in Montreal, I would recommend this as cheap eats but excellent value and taste for the price. Ate here a few times and it has been consistent which I also look for when handing out 5/5 stars.“

“We call in last minute on a Friday, 8pm, group of 25+. They accepted us even though their kitchen closed at 9pm.
They never made us feel rushed, they were extremely welcoming. Food was delicious!!!!
Would 100% recommend and go back.
