“I was looking for a restaurant that offered crispy noodles, and I noticed on their website and in a review here that they had them. Since I couldn’t find them on the menu, I called to confirm. I was told that they were part of the chow mein and that I could choose between chicken, shrimp, or beef. I therefore ordered through Uber Eats, as mentioned during the call, and specified beef as my choice of meat.
Unfortunately, I received chicken vermicelli with no crispy noodles, so you can imagine my disappointment. I’m still giving 4 stars because they kindly offered me a second meal after I had an issue with the first delivery. The food itself was good, but unfortunately it wasn’t what I expected.
I also noticed that the packaging may not be ideal, as there was sauce all over the bag and containers when the food arrived. I’m not sure whether this was due to the restaurant or the delivery driver, so I can’t really say for sure.
Overall, the food was good and the customer service was appreciated, but I hope they can clarify the chow mein options and improve the packaging.“

“Premier essai aujourd'hui pour deux : on a pris la soupe Pho Tai #10 et le poulet sauté à la citronnelle #33 et c'était vraiment trop bon. Le boeuf de la pho est vraiment tendre et les saveurs du #33 étaient immédiatement excellentes et au dessus de nos attentes à la première bouchée. Ils ont probablement le meilleur poulet citronnelle de Montréal, voir du Québec.“

“I've been here about ten times and I can safely say it's the best chicken soup I've had in my life. Truly fantastic, the broth is bursting with flavour, the chicken is always well cooked, and the soup is loaded with veggies. If I was forced to pick, the chicken soup here would be my last meal.“

“The lemongrass tofu was good and salty enough to accompany the rest. We stayed for a long time to talk and it was good for that during the week.
I wanted to tofu sandwich and they recommend me the bowl instead. I am vegetarian and the waiter was very attentive to not give me fish sauce and suggest me maybe peanuts and soy sauce for the bowl. I appreciated that!
My family said the food with meat was really good and they know their Vietnamese food since they grew up there.“

“We just had dinner here. There was a constant stream of people waiting for a fresh banh mi or for a table. The pho broth is so fresh and flavourful. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The gentleman offered my boys freezies after our meal. I can see why they have such positive reviews.“

“Ordered no 6, rare beef pho, and no 25, spicy beef noodle soup, and both were great! Service was fast and friendly and the food tasted authentic. Only thing is the restaurant is small, so it can get a little cramped with how many customers come in, but that's also a testament to how good their food is! Would definitely come again!“

“I ordered online, i ordered a summer roll and wonton soup not expecting it would be this good because usually it is all express. I ordered this for lunch and it is so fresh tasting the shrimp is amazing the vegetables and the rice roll. As for the wonton soup the broth is flavourful and i can taste that its not a powder broth, i taste the vegetables and there is not much oil in it. The wonton noodle is soft and the pork is good. Thank you!“

“Great neighborhood restaurant. I have been passing by since I moved into the area and was not disappointed once I decided to step in.
Our meal started with the imperial rolls (cha gio) and the papaya salad (without beef). The rolls were in my opinion the star of the night; generously filled and simply delicious. These are the imperial rolls you always hope for but rarely get. The papaya salad was fresh and well dressed - not spicy as their Thai counterpart usually is.
We followed our meal with bahn xeo - a crispy Vietnamese omelette/crêpe that was filled with chicken and a generous amount of bean sprouts, and Bun Cha Hanoi. The airy and crispy texture of the crepe is addictive to say the least and very enjoyable. The grilled bun cha meat was also very tasty!
In sum, Y Lan is a great restaurant where you can be sure to enjoy a great meal with great service.

“Got the #20 clay pot fish with a side of rice about 4 months ago and it was so flavorful and fragrant I still think about it quite often. Owners were friendly and helping despite barely speaking an ounce of French or English and prices were more than fair. I wish whoever runs that place the best genuinely never close this place down ever.“

“Montreal was right in the middle of our 12-day trip, and we were really craving some Asian food. Searched for pho nearby on Google Maps and found this place. Didn’t have high expectations, but it turned out to be very good — even better than a lot of restaurants back in Hong Kong! Highly recommended. The staff was super nice and friendly too. When they found out we were from HK, they even suggested some local places to check out around the area. Great experience overall!“

“I ordered a beef pho - it didn’t taste exactly like most pho I’ve had from other places and the noodles were quite short, but for its price the portion size isn’t bad at all and it was delicious anyway. The menu seems like it has good variety too.
The atmosphere isn’t entirely there because it’s literally a student cafeteria - there isn’t much atmosphere to be had.
Overall, I’d go back sometime, sure.“

“Absolutely delicious and authentic. 2nd Bun Bo Hue I've tried, this one beat out the 1st one slightly. Absolutely huge portions, everything is fresh, flavored to perfection and fragrant. You get free green tea with pandan. The bubble tea is refreshing and creamy. Bun bo hue was delicious and a huge bowl. Was only able to finish about 80% of it but the flavor was amazing, no sauces or other garnish needed other than what was included with the dish. Will return!“

“It's hard to describe just how good the Pho was. I told the owner we have enjoyed Pho for about 25 years, and this was the best. Ever. End.Of.Food.Review. The place is tiny, with maybe 6-8 tables, perfectly spotless, and does a big takeout business. The couple at the table beside ours had Banh Mi sandwiches and I regret not getting 4 of them to take back to our hotel. We were on holiday visiting from Ontario.“
