“It was a lifesaver, as I was craving authentic Korean food during my trip to Quebec. There was so much meat on the bones in the Bbyeo haejangguk, and the Al-bap was packed with ingredients. It might have been even better if Al-bap had been a little less sweet, though. My mom and I were so impressed not only by the taste but also by the prices. Everything was delicious and generously portioned! The staff was also very friendly. If I come back to Montreal, I’ll definitely come here again! Thank you😊“

“The total for 6 people was 176$ and we had a reservation. Overall, we had a good experience at Daldongnae Korean BBQ on Bishop. The restaurant was packed, but most of the staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive.

One thing that surprised us was that they could not divide the bill according to what each person ordered. Our only options were to split it evenly or pay everything on one bill, which was inconvenient for a group.

At one point, the manager refused to give us another round of side dishes and came across as somewhat rude. Thankfully, another waiter stepped in and brought them to us, which we really appreciated. Aside from the manager’s attitude and the billing policy, the service was great and the rest of the staff made the experience enjoyable.“

“Closest to halmeoni’s cooking in the city. It has all the classic comfort dishes you want and definitely agree that the seafood pancake is the best in the city. The atmosphere is also classic, which I like. Only downside is there’s little space so tables are quite close together.“

I lived in Montreal for five long years in Côte-des-Neiges (same neighbourhood as Chez Lee )and only came across this gem 2 years before leaving. Everything about this restaurant is AMAZING! Especially Chicken Katsu and Bibimbap-two of my absolute favs. ❤️ You can blindly trust when I say they serve authentic, fresh, and big portions of food. “I've been there for dinner many times. I'm a vegetarian and the veggie options there are excellent. The bibimbap is not only the best bibimbap I've ever had, it's one of the best things I've ever tasted! Also superb is the Sundubu Jjigae, a spicy tofu stew. The veggie dumplings are nice and the spring rolls are good but nothing special. It's a tiny charming restaurant with a great rain-proof patio. A favourite Montreal restaurant for me.“

The service was so nice, the lady was so sweet and attentive the whole time. my boyfriend took a bite of the chicken and said it was better than any chicken he’s had so far, ate the cream jjampong and declared that this is probably his favourite restaurant from now on, and finally ate the soba noodles and sashimi and said that it was the true korean flavour. I was really impressed at the taste of all the food, the flavours were unique in a very good way. even though we are only two, and that i have an appetite of a mouse, we managed to finish everything without leaving anything behind. i’m definitely coming back next time.“

“I’ve been coming here for a few years now, mainly for their onigiri. They are always fresh, filling, and consistently good. I finally tried the bibimbap today and I can’t believe I waited this long. I got the beef one and it was amazing. It was very flavorful, well balanced, and really comforting.

The ladies working there are always kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It is such a cozy and reliable go to spot. Highly recommend. !!“

“What an amazing find it was stopping in at Restaurant Itaewon! We first stopped in for Soju and snacks, and returned a few days later for lunch. The beef dumplings are a must try. The pork bibimbap was tasty with just the right amount of spice, and the fried chicken was nice and crispy, even after being drenched in sauce. The food was delicious but the customer service was really what stood out. Our waiter remembered us from our first visit and was so kind, helpful and has amazing customer service. We will come back next time we’re in MTL.“

Korean songs are on but not loud enough, so one can still talk. Only thing the beef for the noodles was a bit tough/chewy, but maybe I didn't know how to appreciate it. There was plenty of proteins and greens in the serving.“

“Came here for my birthday in August, and what a CHARMING find! The food is absolutely delicious. I had the grilled salmon and wow, I still dream about it!! People with me tried the Bibimbap (both versions) and loved it as well. The staff was lovely and attentive. Just be mindful that this is a very small location, and trying to reserve via phone can be challenging. I'll definitely be back and bring more friends to share the love!

“The Kimchi 7B Beef was good overall. I’m not sure why they replaced the paper bowls with handles with plastic ones.they get very hot and the old ones were much more practical.

Also, the beef didn’t taste the same as before. The color looked a bit pale, and it was missing the flavor I remember. Maybe they’ve changed the meat or it’s from a new supplier. Next time, I’ll probably order the chicken instead.“

“The food here is so good that the biggest challenge is to choose what I want more... The bulgogi soup with those perfect noodles and that broth that warms the soul? The fried chicken with that insanely delicious onion mayo bridge to the next plane of existence? “It's a really great fried chicken spot and I personally liked it a lot. Most of the chicken was really tasty and crispy, but I felt like the drumsticks weren’t as well seasoned as the other pieces. The only downside is the two-person tables are a bit small, which makes it a little tight when you’re eating. Other than that, I’d definitely recommend it and would come back again to try more.“
