“Gia is a fun place to go to when in Montreal. It's tucked behind an old industrial building on Lenoir that houses high tech startups and it exudes that vibe. The food is Italian and very, very good. Inventive and comforting at the same time. Our service was terrific. They have ample parking in the back. I saw a sign that said it was one of the best 100 restaurants in Canada and I can see why.“

“Came across this “pizza” restaurant because it sits across the drive from Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal. What a pleasant surprise. We didn’t order pizza (must come back for that) but from their absolutely delicious, as it turns out, menu. Our dishes were premium and comfort rolled into one. If this place is a secret, it won’t last long.“

“I come here for breakfast and lunch. The staff is always amazing and they make great coffee! Usually if you order just drinks (coffee) they take orders in a separate line which speeds things up.
During lunch hours it's usually quite busy but the wait is well worth it!“

From the set up to most importantly the delicious food and impeccable service, the experience was everything I hoped it to be and more. Ralph is very professional and a pleasure to deal with and Domenico, our head waiter, was very pleasant, attentive, accommodating and had wonderful recommendations as to timing of the evening and THE most important, the wine! “Montréal à table à la Terasse du W Un mousseux "Crément d'alsace" pour accompagner mes "Crevettes et sorbet au cari": Crevettes marinées et grillées façon thaï (5), sorbet cari coco, lime, coriandre. Mon appréciation: crevette sucrée et piquante adouci par le sorbet rafraîchissant et gouteux, un délice. Un vin blanc "Sancerre" avec Tostadas à la pieuvre grillée (3) Pico de gallo, crème d’avocats, oignons marinés à l’hibiscus, piment chili, laitue et tomates. Mon appréciation: la pieuvre d'une belle tendretée, le tout excellent avec l'ajout de jus de lime. Sans la lime, on goûte bien l'oignon qui est sucré. Panna cotta au chocolat et au rhum Mousse de litchi: on goûte le amer du chocolat, le sucrée de la mousse de litchie équilibre l'assiette pour la gardée fraîche en bouche. Les boules croustillantes ajoute de la texture au plat. Excusez ma fin de rhume pour ne pas avoir goûté au rhum. Ambiance musical style lounge avec une touche qui donne envie de danser aux gens comme moi qui ont le beat dans le sang. Et que dire du service, ils m'ont mise à l'aise toute suite, moi qui va au restaurant seule, je me sentais comme une reine. J'ai pu goûter à different vin pour choisir celui qui me plaît. C'est agréable d'être certain de boire ce qu'on apprécie. Parfois, la barmaid savait plus que moi si j'appréciais le vin. Merci de m'avoir permis d'en goûter un autre.“

Focaccia was light.

Beet salad and arancini were very good. The calamari was excellent. Salads all dressed very nicely.

Braised beef was tender. The vodka pasta was exceptional. Very rich.

I generally don't care for chicken parm, but this one was spectacular.

Capped it off with a super light and smooth tiramisu. Divine.

“This was by far the best restaurant I’ve been to! The waiter was amazing, I believe his name was Marco, such a lovely and kind person. The lovely hostess treated us like family. I cannot recommend this place enough. And the chef 🤌 what a handsome gentleman, he makes the best dishes in Montreal. This place deserves 3 Michelin stars! I cannot get enough of the antipasti, especially the peperonata. If i could leave 10 stars i Would.“
