“I arrived late for my dinner and I didn't see the menu. My wife and our friends had already ordered for me and I was really amazed! Fresh, tasty and different dishes. Great atmosphere, small bar in the square where the regulars meet in the evening. Superb for the dining experience!“
“Awesome place. Really hard to find because it's a speakeasy but excellent customer service and really good selection for whiskey at a fair price. Couldn't recommend this place enough for cocktail lovers or whiskey lovers. Wish they had a place like this near me“

“The ambiance, food and cocktails were all delicious. Fast service and smiling waitress. The only thing that was a shame is that even for a reservation at 7:30 p.m., there is a limit of 2 hours per table (which we didn't know). We had to quickly drink our last cocktails.“

“A very tiny bar, with one sitting table in the middle. I would say max 8 people can go in, and I assume in the summer more with the terrace. The service was amiable. We had two cocktails one margarita and one specialty cocktail of the season. Both were beautifully presented and both were delicious,“

“A nice speakeasy for drinks. The place is dark and way smaller than I thought. I like to know what I’m ordering or at least look at menu, but they don’t have any. They make drinks based on what you like. The drink I got though was very good. Just a bit expensive.“

“Our visit to the Distillery turned out to be an absolutely incredible experience! Not only are the cocktails delicious and well crafted, but the service is also second to none. A big thank you to Ariane, our waitress nicknamed ‘Chouchou’, who added a touch of magic to our evening with her warm welcome and impeccable service. She made our last evening in Montreal wonderful.“

“Beautiful speakeasy in a hidden alley with a very friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere and decor inside. The choice of cocktails is large enough without being infinite, which is very positive. I really loved the federal reserve cocktail (20 cad), and also the smoke show was nice (17 cad). I also tried the cocktail 17 (17 cad) and the 40 thieves (16 cad) all of them interesting and good. Definitely a must go in Montreal.“

“It appears they opened in 2022 roughly. We’ve been walking along Ontario Street for a long time and never really got the point to enter. One afternoon we decided to go for a walk and headed in a new direction. We entered It must’ve been a few minutes after four, there were very few people inside. We realized that they had just opened their doors for the day At 4pm. They have a pretty good list of drinks cocktails and a very good beer selection. They also have a happy hour with a price reduction on select drinks. The decor is very modern, there’s something inside that makes you feel energized. The services is great, Jerome was our server, and he took very good care of us.We only went for a few drinks, but will definitely come back and try some of their food.Parking: Your best bet is taking the metro to Berri UQAM and walking over. However, if you are coming by Ca, you can probably strike up a parking on Ontario Street or Atataken.“

“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“

“We've often walked by with the intention on trying this charming, understated café-buvette for brunch and we finally found the perfect snowy Sunday for it.We started with the obligatory mimosa (for the basic b in us) after a complimentary cup of maple syrup drizzled fruit. We followed that with an outright divine 8-hour braised ham grilled cheese that knocked our snow-filled socks off and smoked salmon between an English muffin and hollandaise topped eggs bendict we couldn't get enough of. Both dishes came with exquisite potatoes and an essential homemade mayo to dip them in. Needless to say we didn't leave a single crumb of this fantastic, elevated Sunday brunch. Our experience was made all the better by friendly, helpful and extremely quick service.“

“For those unaccustomed to crowded drinking establishments (i.e. me), the experience can be disconcerting due to the decibel level far beyond tolerable, where patrons and music s strive to bury each other under a torrent of noise. We were initially assigned two fixed stools in front of the downstream counter, amidst the hubbub. Having noted the availability of a charming little table for two in a more remote corner, I requested a transfer. I wrongly thought that we would be quieter there, but where there were fewer people, a series of speakers helped to overload the space with more sound. This morning, my poor sensitive ears made me pay for it with a sigh, an annoying reminder of the fact that with sound, just like with drinks, you have to go in moderation. On the other hand, my stomach was happy. The Henrietta bar gave him exactly what he wanted: delicious little dishes full of flavor and good cocktails, all at a relatively low price (total: $55 per person). An excellent beef tartare (my number 1 of the evening), a chicken liver mousse that my friend cleaned like you clean a jar of Nutella, popcorn with Manchego which was decimated one piece after the other and, finally, a fresh and tasty ceviche. Three of the four dishes were accompanied by thin slices of bread toasted to near perfection, crunchy on the surface, but tender in the flesh. However, their multiple presence seemed somewhat redundant to me and perhaps there was a “concept” there. My eyes weren't left out either. The presentation of the dishes was sophisticated. In addition, the dining room is clad in elegance with its white walls, globe lights and mirrors. We therefore find the same good visual taste as in the Atlantic tavern, another establishment of certain owners of the place. My friend and I naturally wanted to take advantage of the aesthetics of the place to take some portraits of ourselves, but in the dim light, our faces obviously didn't stand out so well!In short, advice to cushy gourmets like me who prefer a little peace and quiet, it would be better to go there shortly after opening, during the week, rather than at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening (!) Despite the protest of my eardrums, I wouldn't refuse to go back in the summer season for the terrace and to taste other little delicacies: the cheese sandwich, the deviled eggs, the Portuguese sandwich, the oyster mushrooms...Vegetarian options: Eggs, salad, mushrooms...Parking: Squares all along the street. After 6 p.m. on weekends, nothing to pay.Kid-friendliness: No. We don't serve Kool-Aid.Wheelchair accessibility: If you can climb four steps!“
“We went there on a Wednesday evening, we had the restaurant to ourselves. Very pretty place, with suitable background music.Regarding the dishes, they were very good, the starters very tasty and not too bulky. The main courses were very substantial but we still had room for dessert.A chocolate mousse, which we decided to share with my girlfriend, but since we really liked it, we ordered a second one.We will go back to try the brunches :)“

“Delicious, delicious sushi (from someone who has eaten sushi all over Montreal)! We got the Smoke, Phoenix and the Flame makis + the Blossom tartare. “An unforgettable culinary experience in the heart of Italy, without even leaving our city! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Julien, the owner, who was also our server. His kindness and passion for authentic Italian cuisine were contagious, and he took the time to explain the menu to us, enriching our experience. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, each dish demonstrated careful selection and remarkable expertise. Julien graciously offered us the best focaccia freshly made on site and by him. His commitment to uncompromising quality and his generosity are reflected in the flavor of his dishes. The service, impeccable from start to finish, was both professional and comfortingly warm. Julien and his team made us feel special, transforming a simple meal into a memorable evening. This restaurant is a rare find for those looking to savor the true flavors of Italy, delivered with passion and generosity.A huge congratulations to Julien and his team for this exquisite experience. “My favorite cocktail bar in Montreal - hands down! Super cool speakeasy vibe...I felt like I was in a James Bond movie. Dimly lit, DJ was spinning some tunes...the vibe was perfect! After a short wait, our hostess got us a seat at the bar. IF you can sit at the bar, do it! Watching the bartenders make their drinks is very entertaining. Our bartender (I think his name is Arnold) was awesome to hang out with. He was engaging, very helpful and simply a master of his craft. The menu is very big...lots of options for whiskey flights as well as a TON of mixed drinks. The bartenders will also make you whatever you're in the mood for.I can't wait to go back!!“

“We had a lovely time at Pincette and it was definitely a meal to remember! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time. The service from Michael and Manon was excellent and so friendly. Drinks were delicious (everything we tried was great, with a special shoutout to the French Canadian cocktail). We liked the lobster ravioli so much that we ordered a second plate of it after finishing the first one ^_^ Merci!“
“Service was amazing. I've tried 2 cocktails on different nights.1 was amazing and the 2nd was just a bad personal choice for my taste buds (not the drink bring bad)The quantity in your glass is quite small and could be a little better for the price tag (16$ to 24$ for a glass). But overall, a very nice spot for 1 drink to either start or end your night.“

“We tried their brunch on the weekend. It was okay, but not something we'd rush back for. The plates looked nice, but the food was simple and didn't quite hit the spot. They didn't offer the usual sides like potatoes or fruit, and for the portion size, the prices felt steep. We've enjoyed their lunches and dinners before, but the brunch didn't quite stack up to other spots in Montreal. On the bright side, our waitress was friendly and the ambiance was lovely.“

“So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“
