Clandestino Reviews
Great speakeasy bar. The music is good and not too loud. The servers were more than kind and the whole ambiance was just perfect. Definitely got a good here and would happily suggest it to everyone who are looking a good and unique speakeasy bar.
A near by server whispered in my ear of this Speakeasy, I was intrigued and gave in to my inquisitive desire. It was dark and I was alone in a strange city. The music filled the room with great style and the skills of the bartenders were amazing. The bartenders have a wide range of tequilas and mescals which they mix or serve individually with great knowledge and flair. This was a big highlight of my visit. Thanks
Rude and Aggressive Owner.
I wish i could say nice things about this spot because its cool but after the experience we had with the owner I retract any positive comments.
Around 2am myself, my gf and skme other firends were sitting outside a couple doors down from the bar smoking when the owner came out drunk (we did not know it was the owner). He proceed to shout at everyone that they had to leave and even started grabbing people away. He physically grab me by my shirt...read full review

Based on the reviews, Clandestino is a hidden speakeasy style basement bar in Vieux Montreal under a glow of red lights. It is one of the favourite places in Montreal, with a cool atmosphere and lots of sofa/lounge seating. The staff is incredibly nice, bringing the best vibes and service. The cocktail bar has an amazing selection of tequila and mezcal. The best tequila drinks ever were had here, including an old fashioned style one infused with duck fat. A mango/passionfruit cocktail was also enjoyed. One cocktail was the most expensive on the menu but did not impress, while another was delicious. A $4 coat check was deeply annoying, and the music choice was not for everyone.
