“Disappointed. The food was mediocre and a little pricey. Husband and son had the steak burger which was small and not very well seasoned. Wait staff was very nice. Ambiance is pleasant.“

The pastrami was stacked with confidence. Sun-dried tomato mayo did the quiet, competent thing mayo should do. Chili oil coleslaw showed up like it had something to prove and proved it. I finished the whole thing and immediately started grieving that it was over.

The place is busy, and cannot make sandwiches fast enough for the people who want them. They were sold out of most of them, which is either bad inventory planning or a very effective marketing strategy. I choose to believe the latter.

Service felt less like a transaction and more like being heckled affectionately by someone who's genuinely happy you showed up. Ten minutes in and I was fairly certain we'd known each other in a past life.

“Had an amazing afternoon at the tasting room! Both bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and personable, guiding me through the tasting and helping me choose a few drinks. I ended up leaving with a great selection of Mad River products. If you're a bourbon or rum enthusiast visiting the Burlington area, this spot is a must-visit!“

“The food was good, with a big variation. I loved the clams, but the chocolate mousse was disappointing, mostly whipped cream. The fish was cooked really well, but the sides and beans appetizer were just fine. The non-alcoholic negroni was excellent.

The main waitress was very attentive and friendly; the rest of the staff was unprofessional, multiple times they dropped plates on the table and walked away without a comment.

The atmosphere is nice, but nothing special, and it gets pretty loud.“

“We had the mobile pizza oven, antipasti boards, appetizers and dessert served at our wedding this fall.

Sara was professional, responsive and easy to work with. She ensured that all our requests were heard and accounted for. She answered all of our many questions promptly and thoroughly throughout the year leading up to the wedding.

At the wedding, the food was delicious: our gluten free and vegan guests were very happy, and the buffet ran smoothly without any wait for our hungry guests.

The vibe definitely did not match the level of culinary skills in the food. We got chive pancakes, they were chewy crispy and savory - perfect appetizer!

Two Asahi’s to complement our entrees:
crying tiger fried rice, the sirloin was marinated to PERFECTION! Best I’ve EVER had.
Duck Penang was an entire duck leg in a creamy delicious curry sauce with pineapples and tomatoes. So mouthwatering thinking about it now..

Staff was soooo young but SUPER hospitable and lovely! Luckily we’re not locals otherwise it’d be a weekly meal here for us!“

“We have been coming here since 1986 when it was a tiny spot that let us teenagers sit and drink coffee all day. They are one of Burlington’s oldest and most loved restaurants, known for their early bird Bistro dinner that serves French classics like Beef Bourgignon, Steak Frites and even gluten free Cavatappi Carbonara. Tonight it was snowing hard and the restaurant was still full and the service was terrific. It’s our go-to place for the last 35 years and I’m grateful they are still around.“

We had a great meal - steak frites, 1/2 rack of lamb, jerk swordfish, and a veggie pasta in Parmigiana cream sauce, preceded by excellent cocktails and followed by delicious desserts. The classic art deco ambience was perfect. When you can wow three generations including an 18 year old, you're definitely doing a great job!.“
