“Had an amazing afternoon at the tasting room! Both bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and personable, guiding me through the tasting and helping me choose a few drinks. I ended up leaving with a great selection of Mad River products. If you're a bourbon or rum enthusiast visiting the Burlington area, this spot is a must-visit!“

The pastrami was stacked with confidence. Sun-dried tomato mayo did the quiet, competent thing mayo should do. Chili oil coleslaw showed up like it had something to prove and proved it. I finished the whole thing and immediately started grieving that it was over.

The place is busy, and cannot make sandwiches fast enough for the people who want them. They were sold out of most of them, which is either bad inventory planning or a very effective marketing strategy. I choose to believe the latter.

Service felt less like a transaction and more like being heckled affectionately by someone who's genuinely happy you showed up. Ten minutes in and I was fairly certain we'd known each other in a past life.

Go early. Go hungry. Go before they run out and ruin your week.“

“Disappointed. The food was mediocre and a little pricey. Husband and son had the steak burger which was small and not very well seasoned. Wait staff was very nice. Ambiance is pleasant.“

The zaatar focaccia was incredible, probably the best focaccia I've ever had with perfectly balanced flavor, spice, and texture (crispy top and spongey interior). Would rank this on the top 10% of Burlington restaurants.“

“BEST PIZZA SINCE ITALY! On our first time visit to Burlington, we stumbled on Pizzeria Verita. It was fabulous! Literally our tastiest pizza since we’ve been in Italy. We didn’t have reservations so sat at the bar. Fun vibe and great service. You can also watch the crew make the pizzas in a giant wood fired oven. Very entertaining.“

“This place REALLY threw me for a loop… walking there I was expecting a quickie bite.. not an amazing dinner meal that even my picky husband enjoyed!

The vibe definitely did not match the level of culinary skills in the food. We got chive pancakes, they were chewy crispy and savory - perfect appetizer!

Two Asahi’s to complement our entrees:
crying tiger fried rice, the sirloin was marinated to PERFECTION! Best I’ve EVER had.
Duck Penang was an entire duck leg in a creamy delicious curry sauce with pineapples and tomatoes. So mouthwatering thinking about it now..

Staff was soooo young but SUPER hospitable and lovely! Luckily we’re not locals otherwise it’d be a weekly meal here for us!“

“Looks like the menu changes, maybe daily? Their drink and food menu I saw on their site isn't the same I got when I got there.

I got the autocorrect drink, grilled pork belly, Littleneck clams, rainbow trout, and shishito peppers.

I came solo and booked a reservation for the bar. Bartender asked me if I was hungry because I ordered a lot of food. It's cute that he thought the portion size were large.

I reserved the bar because I didn't want to take up a table. But due to how uncomfortable the bar seating was, I would have unbashfully reserve a 2-seat table next time. I was bumping elbows with the people next to me and couldn't cut my food properly. Then when I wasn't eating, I'll have my arms crossed to make sure I didn't hit the people on both sides of me.

Autocorrect drink - 9/10 - was pretty good flavor and wasn't overly alcoholly.

Grill pork belly - 10/10 - was amazingly delicious. Pork belly was tender and that squash puree was amazing. I've never had squash that tasted so good. Can probably split between two people with the small portion it is but with how good it is you might get a second plate.

Littleneck clams - 9/10 - The bread was good. Crusted with a nice light butter. The clams were big and meaty. The sauce tasted great. Great on the clams. I'd say good to split for 2 people.

Rainbow trout - 9/10 - Trout was delicious. Went really well with the peppers, sauce, and veggies. Despite being mostly deboned, there are a few bones in there so be careful.

Shishito peppers - 8/10 - The peppers were good. There were zero heat imo. The tiny small green pickled thing in it was actually pretty good. Don't know what it is though. The creme fraiche could be better but overall dish was still pretty good. Good side dish to split between 3-4 people.

Overall, meal was satisfying and I would recommend giving them a try. Menu is small but worth coming back to try the other things. I personally would avoid the bar seating next time. At one point, they turned the lights down pretty low. Luckily I ordered before it did otherwise the flash light was coming out. The small plates came out one after another. The peppers and trout came out together. Pacing was well done.“

“We have been coming here since 1986 when it was a tiny spot that let us teenagers sit and drink coffee all day. They are one of Burlington’s oldest and most loved restaurants, known for their early bird Bistro dinner that serves French classics like Beef Bourgignon, Steak Frites and even gluten free Cavatappi Carbonara. Tonight it was snowing hard and the restaurant was still full and the service was terrific. It’s our go-to place for the last 35 years and I’m grateful they are still around.“
