Pizzeria Verità 156 St Paul St, Burlington Pizza • $$

“Had a great experience sitting at the bar recently. They were very busy but the bartender took my order as soon as she could, and she was helpful & friendly. Their selection of amari is definitely among the best in the state. I ordered the arugula salad and it was massive, with a good amount of shaved Parm and a tasty dressing. Enjoyed tasting a preview of a super good cocktail that's now on their new Spring menu, called the "Bee's Peas" (thanks Nick!).”

The Café HOT. 198 Main St, Burlington Vegan • $

“I'm glad I came here thinking I was getting an actual fried chicken sandwich. As soon as I bit into the 8 special, I thought to myself "how did they get chicken to be this juicy?" Then I realized it wasn't chicken, but a masterfully crafted egg fried like the best of the best fried chickens. Truly, the best non chicken fried chicken sandwich I ever had —even among actual chicken sandwiches. A happy accident and a genius concoction. Bravo to the culinary masterminds behind this and the super kind staff.”

“This is not a deli it's an experience. It is everything that is pure about food and hospitality. OK yes, you will wait sometimes but, what a beautiful gift to sit down in a room full of a lifetime of art, sip a beer and be here now while, waiting for an absolute genius to lovingly prepare a handcrafted masterpiece. You want fast, cheap, and easy? McDonalds would love your business and you would love McDonalds....but for the purists, the artists and the romantics...sit down and breathe it all in and, when your food arrives and the universe kisses you on the cheek like a perfect sunset you'll know you're alive.”

Union Jacks 370 Shelburne Rd, Burlington Sandwich Shop • $

“My Fiancee and I had lunch here today. We got there at about 11:30 at Union Jacks this place gets to be very busy considering that we were fourth in line. But when we were about to placed our order I saw the line behind us grow to 6-7 people in line. From the counter to the entrance door. So my advice to you all to either get there when they open or call and order ahead. My fiancee had the Fish and Chips along with a large side order of Fried Pickles. I had a Pastrami and Swiss Panini style on jalapeno bread. My side order was a large order of onion rings. We ate our food there and it was brought out to us at our table and you could see the steam coming off our food.I really enjoyed seeing Union Jacks staff knowing their "regulars" of what they want to eat or just seeing on how their well being.Union Jacks has been in the same place for the last 26 years and still going strong!

Vegetarian options: The menu at Union Jacks is broken down on their website and also on the menu board at the restaurant.

Parking: It's a shared parking along with other businesses.

Kid-friendliness: Yes, Union Jacks has a kid friendly menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: All of the businesses have wheelchair accessible to their entrances.”

“I enjoy working from here and the pastries and espresso drinks are great, but I had a cup of the drip coffee today for the first time and it was way too caffeinated I feel really sick from it. I didn't realize while I was drinking it just how strong it was but this feels dangerous that I'm this wired and jittery from just one cup after 6 hours when I normally have a pretty high tolerance for caffeine. If you have any kind of health issues or caffeine sensitivities be careful!”

“Service was impeccable. My wife had the Steak frites . It was cooked to her liking and she enjoyed her entree. I ordered the pork schnitzel and was disappointed. Usually schnitzel is pounded thin and very tender, my schnitzel was about a 1/2 thick slab of pork. It was moist but required a steak knife to cut.”

Pho Hong 325 N Winooski Ave, Burlington Vietnamese • $

“This is the place if you want the very best Pho Vermont has to offer. I've been coming here for almost 15 years and I've never had a bad meal. The food is always fresh and amazing. The staff is excellent and they offer wonderful customer service. Most of the employees have been working there for years (clearly a good sign) and they know how to take care of their customers. Love Pho Hong!!”

A Single Pebble 133 Bank St, Burlington Chinese • $$$

“100% worth the advanced planning to get a reservation.

Vegetarian options: There are quite a few vegetarian options and there are a lot of things they will make vegetarian if requested. We had the vegetarian Sichuan pulled pork, among other things, and it was delicious.”
